I don't see a reason to vote him. In my experience, scum are more likely to claim at inopportune times. With no apparent town benefit to the claim it leans more toward a scummy claim in my opinion.

Though in this instance it is closer to a null tell in my mind. In honesty it's actually just dumb and muddies the waters. That sort of thing should be discouraged.
