What I was saying is based on placing two players in the safe zone - one who we believe to be mostly confirmed and one who appears to be quite scummy. By selecting someone quite scummy to be in the safezone, it's less likely that the scum will target them and end up killing our pro-town player. That means if the pro-town player is killed then we know that the other player in the safe zone is scum. I'm assuming that if the only pro-town player in the safe zone will die if targeted.
Nacho - since we don't know which player the scum are targeting, I'd rather the "confirmed" player dies in exchange for scum, then to have a random pro-town player die. That other problem with two scummy looking people in the safe zone is that's two fewer targets to day-vig.-

Elli, I've played a game with you before, and I've read through games you were in. I know when you're reaction hunting.
@Huck: Good point, I see what you mean now. But I don't think we can confirm the scummy looking person as scum if the protown player dies because there is still the possibility that scum will try to kill the protown player regardless.-

Good question.HH wrote:Ortolan - do you think we're better off questioning Charter or someone who hasn't used their vig yet?
What we ideally want to do IS force people to vig who we want. We want a scummy person vigging another scummy person. That way, we eliminate a scummy person, and feel better about the other one. If the person who vigs is a scumvig, we've taken that power away from them, which is invaluable.SOG wrote:I agree with DragonsofSummer that if we want to make people shoot, they should shoot who they find suspicious, not who everyone else decides. The idea being that we are making suspicious people shoot in hopes of catching someone who can't.
I'm currently finding Dragons the most suspicious. Lurking but posting in other games. Zero content in this game and zero scumhunting. Probably scum.

This is no way the above confirms or semi-confirms anyone regardless of outcome. This is just flat out wrong and could lead to being wrong in several ways. What if the person we think likely to be town is scum and then scum kill the scummy person? What if scum want to take the chance anyway, and they get lucky? It doesn't make the other person scum or innocent for not being killed. Does this really have to be explained?HackerHuck wrote:What I was saying is based on placing two players in the safe zone - one who we believe to be mostly confirmed and one who appears to be quite scummy. nacho and Elli. The former's stance on the whole vig-confirm reaks to me, while the latter is mostly gut. Yes, that means I dont have a "proper scumread" on the others.I'm a hoot

And you're doing the same thing you did in Frat Party Mafia and not scumhunting at all; instead, you're only answering questions asked directly of you."Playing with Nacho is like playing with a religious conservative." ~UncertainKitten

There are too many lurkers to have a valid read on everyone. I have some things I dont like about some guys but nothing really incriminatory.
Ortolan led the town yesterday /towntell imo but something about him pushing charter instead of analysing people with more likeliness of being scum rubs me wrong. @Ort, what is your motivation for concentarting on charter?
chamber and charter = his interaction with cobalt makes me think they are town. I agree with what semioldugy is saying and the math things he is posting. He seems to put a lot of thought and very interested in the game which makes me think he is town.
@Dramonic = what do you think of what semoioldugy posted?
@Bogre, I Isolated you, what was the motivation of the "I WANTED TO DO THAT" when you were quoting charter vigging cobalt?-

Because I wanted to shoot him, and was seriously considering doing it? I then came back, and saw charter had shot him.Anon wrote: @Bogre, I Isolated you, what was the motivation of the "I WANTED TO DO THAT" when you were quoting charter vigging cobalt?
The motivation is not to 'gain town points'. Doing things like that is generally not a good way to get town points.
So basically, you can believe me, or go into WIFOM of what my real motivation might be.

He seems way too worried that charter and chamber would live if we considered them as prob-town.ShowMurder, Corruption, Betrayal.
