Because both Xyl and devotress were on it. As far as the blue scum were concerned, they were very likely lynching a townie, with a smaller chance of red-scum/SK. I believe they would not put all their eggs in the same basket.

It's not completely impossible, since he was the last voter, and his vote is quite far from the other two (Xyl & Dev).
