This one. When I first saw it, I thought you were just bandwagon voting just to vote, but now I understand you wanted to start real discussion/put pressure, so I'm fine with that, so I unvoted.
On reread I see Hell already answered question.
But what's the big difference in bandwagon voting and voting for pressure, aren't they kinda the same thing?

Even though most of the discussion was about the validity of bandwagons as a scumhunting tool themselves?

Eh, well, voting for pressure doesn't neccesarily have to be on a bandwagon, because for example, at the beginning of a day I could vote for someone whose actions at the end of the day yesterday seemed scummy, in order to try to make them explain their actions. Also, bandwagoning doesn't have to be for pressure, some people do it to move the game along or they are too lazy to scumhunt for themselves, so they follow the bandwagons.

Hope that made sense, thinking after playing a very close basketball game is hard :)

Yes.

She pretty much nailed what I was doing with my vote
Starbuck wrote: Why wouldn't they put out an RVS vote? Why are you assuming that they wouldn't?

They could easily come in and say, "Hey guys, my bad for being late. Here's my RVS vote, ha ha ha. Off to catch up".

You are assuming things way too easily. I'm not comfortable with that.

Vote: Amished
That was what I was doing. Just because the game was on page 3 when I got to a computer to post does not mean I can't come in say something funny on my first post. I had to say something after mod called us jabronis.

On second thought, due to inability to confirm Role PM, malpascp is being replaced by Raskol.

Hey. This game should be interesting, as I have prior experience with 6 of you. I think this will be the first game where I have that many familiar players to work with.

Thoughts so far:

-anon's play so far doesn't seem similar to his play as scum in our game together (leaning town atm)
-everyone else: need more data

Will spend some time coming up With questions that will help me sort things out a bit.

Hiya Raskol

1. xRECKONERx
3. Devestation
4. VP Baltar
5. Anon
6. Raskol
7. HellnFire666
8. The Inquisition
9. Raivann

11. chauchaudotcom
12. Starbuck

Hmm, it's not exactly a stellar list to start eliminating people from. Raivann still rubs me the wrong way, I'd have to go with him. If we start a petition, do you think we can get more votes for everybody that posts actively?

@xRx: What's the difference between Anon and Raiv?

You are? ...

(reads missed post)

.. really? For assuming that people would see that we're out of the RVS and they wouldn't do an RVS vote? Essentially for assuming that people read the game relatively similar to both myself and you (since I questioned you about this point).

Well, let's now take a look at somebody who just joined: Raskol, is your vote an RVS one? (hint: I'm betting it isn't cause he pays attention; and a 5 page game isn't hard to read from the start in any extended amount of time)

This is kind of an awkward question, but had you replaced in about a day sooner, would you have made about the same sort of entrance with the questions and the vote?

Impossible to say. I was in a much different mood yesterday.

However, I do think I would have tried to accomplish the same thing no matter what game I replaced into or what mood I was in (I just might do it differently)---generate info, force people to talk about things they've been avoiding, bring inactives into the game.

Both is even better, don't you think? I imagine that if he gets prodded and sees his name in bold his response will be that much more motivated.

Starbuck---there was a question for you in there.

I called out on it start discussion to move us out of RVS. It seems to have worked, or would you disagree?
If you believed we were out of RVS wouldn't Rai's vote be even more suspicious?
Why are you so sure on this? What makes you so inclined to think so?

I feel a subtle defending of Rai here.
Uh how was this defending him? It was more like an obvious pointing out that we should not give Rai a "oh I didn't read it" pass which you and Dev seem so inclined to do. The reason why I was pretty sure I answered in my post. "(his questioning of hellfire, his remark that his vote was both random but serious at the same time)".

Also any person, no matter how lazy they are, would probably read at minimum the first page before random voting. In which there were already two votes placed on you. Hence even if he wasn't paying attention I doubt he would have missed that. We were only three pages into the game. =/ Are you seriously suggesting me that you people play mafia games and vote without reading or even skimming first?
star wrote:They could easily come in and say, "Hey guys, my bad for being late. Here's my RVS vote, ha ha ha. Off to catch up".
I guess I have a different experience with games. All games I've gone into have been either RQS or very little RVS.
Rai wrote:She pretty much nailed what I was doing with my vote
I don't believe that answered the question. How did she nail what you were doing with your vote? What were you looking for in her responses?
rec wrote:Nope. Starbuck is town, Anon is scum.
Reason?

Raskol, I haven't played with any of these people but it appears a lot of you know each other. Given this, how useful do you think metas are in catching scum?

As for my thoughts on someone...not sure. It's still early in the game and I have little to nothing on most people. Though I think the Rec and Star buddying is rather odd but that seems to be a relationship completely outside of this game. But if someone held a gun to my head and I had to vote I would probably pick Starbuck.

Since dram hasn't posted since confirm can we get a replace?
