Yes I am Vanilla Townie. If I was scum, I'd obviously wouldn't claim that because it'd make me look suspicious if I claimed that. Since I'm not scum, I wouldn't claim a power role because I know mafia would kill me the next night. Of course, no one believes me anyways (for good reason, mafia more likely to claim VT, etc.).

I love fucking statements that start off with “if I was mafia…” Curious, if you were mafia, what would you claim then?

In the couple games I have played before this, mafia have claimed doctor, cop, vigilante, and psychologist. They fooled many people to the end of the game. One on-going game I am playing had mafia claiming vanilla townie, and only fooled people because he played smart and avoiding suspicion in a pro-town like manner. The other one also claimed VT and got lynched quickly because of all the scummy things he had done in the previous days. Mafia usually claim power roles from what I've seen because they won't get killed by their own mafia, plus the town generally believes them (at least for a while).

It's incredibly true that hammering someone makes you look suspicious regardless of the lynched player's alignment. But someone has to do it. Richard, why do you not mind putting soras at L-1, but are afraid of hammering someone?

I fail to see what you don't understand. The comment was suspicious because he was giving the mafia ideas. That's the logic I used.

I don't have a problem with getting more information. Provided nobody hammers before any information is given I see no problem with putting him back at L-1. It's not like he hasn't earned my vote. If he has anything to say, let him say it, but otherwise, we are pretty much delaying the inevitable.

Putting someone at L-1 and hammering somebody are two completely different things, as I'm sure you know. I guess it's more of a confidence thing, being able to hammer someone. I honestly think Richard just scumslipped. Ooh boy, that's a real gem there. Playing in a game where someone said something similar and quickly got to L-1. But they hadn't already claimed, which is what saved them. Anyways if Richard is scum then I'd think that comment means that soras isn't. The opposite isn't necessarily true though.

I didn't see what you were getting at. I don't know if he is mafia or not, but his comments would suggest it. I fail to see how someone is not mafia just because they give the mafia ideas. I never stated that I knew he wasn't mafia just because he was giving them ideas. Where the hell do you get that idea from? I don't understand your opinion that my logic is flawed. Either way, he screwed it up for the town, so why shouldn't we lynch him?

Way to jump to conclusions. What I was trying to say was, your play is anti-town as it is. If you happen to be what you say you are - A VT - the only downside of lynching you is the town loses a vote. But we are also able to analyse your wagon and thus increase our chances of catching scum next time.
