With Mr. Vice President, it's just obvious (if you don't understand, please go watch Battlestar Galactica), but Anon, what's your deal bud?

Got a reason or do you just like bandwagons?
I like bandwagons.

Also, I dont think anyone can have a reason to vote someone on page 1, do you?

I think they can, but there are 10 other people that you could have voted for, instead of placing the 3rd vote (thus creating a bandwagon) on myself.

So I was just wondering why you chose to create a bandwagon over voting for someone else.

Pretty simple.

I think a third vote on someone is way more valuable than a random vote on anyone's else.

Do you agree/diosagree?

That contradicts your Post 25 when you say
Anon wrote:I dont think anyone can have a reason to vote someone on page 1, do you?
So you are stating that you did vote me for a reason, when you tried to go out of your way to say you did not.

No contradiction there.

When I talk about a "reason to vote someone on page 1", I'm talking about a reason of why that people is scum.

Obviously, there is no reason to think you are scum.

I'm hoping to understand your point of view. Obviously I saw your vote on Starbuck; so I was trying to help discern your intent. A newbie bandwagoning and a veteran bandwagoning are two very different things.

As such; there's no way to get a valuable third vote on anybody without a first.

But still, in a twelve person game, there are at least two scum, likely three (and maybe an SK), so taking a person to three votes could lead to a quick lynch by the scum.

I've played 3 games on other websites, equivelant to Mini Normals on this website, and I've played real life games, which I guess don't really count. So 3 other Mini Normal games.

So in your experience, do you think it is likely that all of the scum (and possibly an SK) are going to quickly pile on to Starbuck for a speed lynch?

No, it isn't likely, at least not a quick pile in the way I said it in my post, because that would give them away. But it is my experience that scum will look for an oppurtunity if one is given, and I don't think we need to start a bandwagon with no evidence. So yes, I overstated, and a quick pile wouldn't happen, but I just don't want to see a bandwagon started this early in the game with little reasoning.

because there also isn't anyway for Starbuck to defend herself. It just seemed contradictory to me, that's all.

How so? Particularly at a stage where votes are more or less random?
Hell wrote:I just don't want to see a bandwagon started this early in the game with little reasoning.
What do you feel are the chances of a dangerous bandwagon actually forming (going further then 3 votes) on Starbucks during a random stage?

@Hell: Also, if you're worried about a bandwagon forming/growing quickly; why hop on and start to form a bandwagon?

I also see that you gave yourself an easy out off the wagon (no means a final vote). I thought that Anon explained his vote relatively ok; what more of a case are you looking for?

I could have voted anyone on the player list. And we would probably still be random voting.

Or I could have voted starbuck and have what we are having now.

Well, I thought I gave my vote enough reason for it not to just be a bandwagon. However, looking back on it, I misunderstood Anon's argument. I now understand it. Therefore

This one. When I first saw it, I thought you were just bandwagon voting just to vote, but now I understand you wanted to start real discussion/put pressure, so I'm fine with that, so I unvoted.

Rephrased question: How often would you say you vote solely to add your vote to a player? Rather than voting due to a scumtell?

To put it another way: how comfortable are you in reading reactions to pressure that's unwarranted?
