Well bollocks. If I'm gonna have to wait til the next round of available new games then I might as well make myself available for replacements. I don't particularly enjoy jumping in the middle of a game where my assignment already went to somebody with a bad enough reputation to be inactive for more than several days. Because then it's an uphill battle from the start. But if it's gonna get me in a game sometime before February, if anybody needs a replacement I am officially available.

Games start more quickly than you think. I would be surprised if you were not in a game before the new year.
Either way I suppose I need to stop being a stick in the mud and saying "No Replacements". I should be more open minded to the possibilities of the game and getting a feel for all types of scenarios whether I start in a new game or have to fight off a L-2 lynching crisis on my behalf. lol. So as far as I'm concerned if a new game starts before someone PM's me to be a replacement, great. If a new game starts from scratch, even sweeter. Either way I'm going to be open minded from now on.
It's not really about being a "stick in the mud". Nobody will think less of you if you choose to play your first MafiaScum game from the very start (and if they do, send 'em to me); replacing in and getting up to speed is a definite skill, and it'd be worse if you tried to replace in, found you hated the site, and vanished, thus leaving another replacement to replace and answer for

Mmmmmmmost of the time it's the other way around - you PM a mod to replace into their game.
You sound fairly knowledgeable, at any rate - it sounds like you would be fine either way.
Oooohhh. That was confusing. Considering I don't know why you gotta sign up to let people know that your in for replacing, when it's your responsibility to PM the Mod that your interested to join their game in the first place. Seems kinda like making two trips for something that only one trip is needed for.

From what I understand, saying that you're /in to replace is kind of pointless. There are people who post in this thread that they need replacements; just go to them directly.
