I guess you missed gendergate.

The thing with Zazie is that he is either super active and posts a ton back to back to back to back or is super lurky and does nothing there is little middle ground.

Mafia 96 he was active and yet scum a game you are familiar with.

Then there is open 150 were he lurked and was scum.

And open 151 where he lurked and was town.

So yeah. As someone who replaces more than I start games off, I have seen Zazie replace into games only to lurk away (what's the point?) just like this game.

Basically one game a meta does not make. Zazie has one of the more frustrating metas than most people on the site in that it really doesn't seem to mean anything and both posting styles he does adopt are pretty frustrating

I've played with Nikanor in Commie mafia, Kreriov in near-vanilla mafia and welcome to hambargarz, Col Cathart in commie mafia, Sotty7 in Webcomic Wars (and she was killed n0 in Emerlad mafia), with StrangerCoug in Hambargarz and Spy's ongoing game, with Spyrex in Dark Goma mafia and Emerald mafia and MSH in Hambargarz. I've played briefly with Dramonic in Percy's ongoing.

Gotta run, apologies to anyone I've missed.

My thoughts on why the whole "meta" theory doesnt hold much water for me.

You go back and see how each person played in a particular game in the past.
But this person has LEARNED from this and has adjusted their game-playing style accordingly. So to call up past play as evidence of current play makes little sense to me, because you have to ask why would they play the same exact way knowing that it is easy to find out how you did as a certain role?

I.e.
Its a greeat trick, but you can only do it once!

Vote Count 23:

With 14 alive, it takes 8 to lynch.

Nikanor - (2) Col.Cathart, skitzer
SerialClergyman - (1) StrangerCoug

* I'll be away for a couple days, but I suspect most others will be also.

So is Krer your top suspect Spyre? I assume so since your vote is on him. If so, who's your #2?
Krer is winning the race by a longshot.
#2 is a bit tougher. As it sits it'd be a tossup between yabba and Heliograph.

Yabbaguy never breaks his posting promises, ladies and gentlemen.

@Krer-1126: But SpyreX obviously had actual rationale from the get-go, it was rather obvious in every *subsequent* post he made that his vote was with actual scum evidence attached. Understood on the rationale, though, doesn't sound as convoluted anymore on a re-read.

@Grimmy-1138: Feels like you're oversimplifying the case on Nikanor just to his silly antics, which indeed are not scummy in themselves, but for one, his mindless wagonning is rather mind-boggling. Interesting how you go out of your way to say "Not Nikanor" though, any particular reason for that?

@SpyX-1156: I didn't just post a textwall, I posted a LogicWall™ on why Coug lynch is both informative and likely to flip scum. How you call that one of the scummiest votes is blowing my mind right now.

I'm still here, just feeling kind of powerless since everything I say is, at best, hitting a brick wall. Nobody seems to buy that SerialClergyman hammered saberwolf knowing he would likely flip town and started attacking me based on my own interactions with it, which share some similarities with his. If he is not an option, please consider one of Nikanor and Iguana, neither of which are really scumhunting.

@SpyX-1156: I didn't just post a textwall, I posted a LogicWall™ on why Coug lynch is both informative and likely to flip scum. How you call that one of the scummiest votes is blowing my mind right now.
Lets really look at it:
An SCoug lynch would be good for the following list of reasons:

1. Foilist's Wagonning-Foil, Coug's former identity, decided to hop late on the 12KB wagon and the Nika wagon, both in somewhat opportunistic fashion. I suspect it's scummy. However, if I'm wrong and Coug flips town, then we can begin to probe Krer and Nikanor, two other people who have racked up enormous amounts of questionability and scumminess.
2. Zazie's Lurking-ZazieR, another former Coug identity, flaked out after promising a post WHILST POSTING ELSEWHERE. That's scummy.
3. Coug's Scumminess-StrangerCoug FOS'd skitzer at 890 for crap rationale and voted saber a few posts before, but in a way that just doesn't make sense as pro-town.
4. Iguana's Distancing- Iguana is clearly distanced from him. Yet she also rings scummy to me, so a flip could see if pursuing her is worthwhile.
5. Grimmy's Defense- Grimmy, a suspect who hasn't been looked at much, fired at Serial at post 1030 for rather weak reasoning. I'd be curious to see if he's just misguided or actually is trying to downplay a case as scum. I remember SpyreX pointing out that one of Krer/Grim is scum.
The biggest eye raiser I have is the sheer amount of conjecture versus "SC is scummy". The fact that in the list above there's ties to Nik / Krer being scum if he's town, Iguana being scum if he's scum, and Grimmy/Krer? being scum if he's scum.

Which would be awesome if it was detailed out in a fashion that wasn't the simple buzzwords distancing and defense. If you look at what you are saying SC has ACTUALLY done it boils down to this one line:
StrangerCoug FOS'd skitzer at 890 for crap rationale and voted saber a few posts before, but in a way that just doesn't make sense as pro-town.
Which does not a case make.

By "powerless" I'm saying that there's not much I seem to be able to do to move the game along where I want it. I see no point in breadcrumbing vanilla. I may be two votes away from dying, but I'll claim when I'm only one away. The game's small enough at this point, I think.

Basically, nice rolefish.

If you consider asking for a claim fishing, then yes I was fishing. You needed to claim. If you claimed cop we needed to move the wagon. If you were cop and didnt claim untill you got to L-1, we would have a no lynch (time constraints) and a dead cop.

You were not asking me to claim. You were asking me if I made a specific claim. There is a difference. If I'm that scummy, another vote for me will come sometime today over the weekend. I'll claim then, if not sometime Sunday.

We are playing a open game. Cop is the only role you claim that would not result in your lynch. So asking "are you the cop?" is the equivilant of "did you claim?"

@SpyreX: I think that your summation of Clergyman against Coug is simplistic. I was trying to discern his alignment better through an ISO read (and there was something that was missing that I would've expected by now; but that was answered to my satisfaction when he answered who he had all played with before). Since ISO 3; Clergy has lobbied for a Coug lynch. That was on the 28th of November; so for almost a month he's held this position. For you to reduce his whole suspicion down to one post that obviously doesn't (and if it did, it'd be ignored/skimmed) contain everything.
I'm going on a crusade to put more thought into my posts.

So thats a VT claim though right?

You have to realize that if you are the cop and dont claim untill deadline, there is no chance of us being able to get a lynch. There also appears to be no chance of the wagon on you moving, so you are just delaying the inevitable at this point.
