@ Sanjay -

I just reread the first half of Day 1, doing my best to clear my mind of any pre-dispositions I had. And, as much as I hate to say this, I came up with a townish read on Chinaman. I'm actually pretty amazed that I never noticed how scummy Muffin's case on Chinaman was...it disturbs me a little, and I feel like I need to withdraw from this game again and reassess everything from scratch.

Someone else who came up as majorly town is foilist. I have to apologize to him for having mostly ignored his case on Muffin at the time, I actually think that he was spot on. It wasn't well written, and seemed like fluff, but the things he pointed out in that case are exactly what I noticed when I did my reread.

I also find the whole MordyS vote deal to be way less suspicious than I did when it was happening. I think I have to admit that I was heavily tunneling foilist. Not because I wasn't looking at other players (I was), but because I was interpreting everything he said as scummy, and not to be taken seriously by default.

so...mk

I know this doesn't look great, but I need to reread the whole thread before I pursue anymore wagons. I'm happy to answer questions.

Well this is a major turn around. I do have a question though, how has this affected your opinion of AGM?

@archae-If you think foilist's case was spot-on what do you think about Phaerie's? Of the two cases on Muffin I thought Phaerie's was a lot more convincing.

@ Gammagooey -

It was a good case. I actually thought that one was decent at the time it was written as well, but by then AGM, foil, and peanut had all acted a lot scummier. I didn't find it compelling enough to divert attention from my top suspects, so I didn't. Muffin being replaced also made me less inclined to lynch him.

What I don't understand, still, are the votes that moved so quickly to Sociopath that
weren't
based on actually scummy behavior. I definitely think AGM's hammer was a pretty blatant bus now.

@Archae, am I understanding you correctly? You seem to be saying in your last post that after re-reading the whole thread and looking at the cases on Muffin, PhaerieM's isn't as strong because there was more important things going on at the time? Because from what I'm reading you are saying that Foilist's case on Muffin, although not "well written", is stronger than PhaerieM's because of when hers was posted (i.e. "others were acting summier so the Muffin case isn't strong"). Please clarify, or confirm that is in fact what you're saying.

Happy birthday Gamma!

We seem to have stalled.

Deadline is in 7 days. We need to start reaching a consensus.

And I'm so not feeling a Peanut lynch.

But it seems cruelty's not happening.

I'm kind of not feeling a cruelty lynch. I actually agree with archaebob on quite a bit:

1) I don't think cruelty is scum.
2) I think we have been a little hasty to label as many people as we have obv. town.
3) I just reread the thread and, you know what? I think I'm town all of a sudden.

As far as number 2 goes, I've reconsidered my obv town view on PhaerieM. Yeah, she got Sociopath lynched. But, if she was scum, given the positions she had taken, when Papa Zito was like "Is anyone up for a Sociopath lynch?" it's not like she could have turned it down. I'm moving her to more of a null read, but I do still really hope she's town/Batman.

Pretty excited about the upcoming deadline. There's a handful of players I wouldn't mind seeing flip, and seeing another wagon pile up is just going to be great.

By the way, if we have a doctor out there that isn't AlmasterGM, I guess you can stay unclaimed until later if you really want, but seriously, giving up the doctor to put the town up 2 to nothing would be super great. I'm not going to take the lack of a counterclaim as evidence for AGM's innocence since I guess we might not even have a doctor, but still, consider it.

Deadline's sooner than I thought it seems.

I'm pretty okay with a peanut lynch.
His "not my wagon" on archae comment way back when still bugs me. His defense at the beginning of the day that attacked the people voting for him, for voting him (no mention of their previous behavior in the posts) is pretty bad, and he is trying to take entirely too much credit for Sociopath's lynch when he wasn't even voting for him. I hate cruelty's non-participation until the day he's one of the most popular lynches, but he has played better than peanutman today and if I'm right about cruelty peanutman is one of his most likely maf partners.

@ peanutman -

The "strength" of the case, has nothing to do with when it was posted. Pharie's case was always "stronger" than foilist's. However, the extent to which any case is actually
convincing
does depend on what else is going on when it is posted. I'm saying that I regret not allowing myself to be more convinced by foilist's case at the time he posted it, even though it wasn't a strong one. I always thought that Pharie's case was stronger, but i wasn't convinced by it when it was posted, because of the other things that were happening in the thread.

Alright people.

Going back to where I was before my meltdown. I still think peanutman has a big chance of being scum, and if he does, I'll be able to rule out once and for all the possibility of Sanjay being scum.

@ those of you still on the cruelty wagon -

Does muffin's case on cruelty Day 1 at all factor into you thinking he's scum? It seems to me like Muffin was actually trying to get cruelty lynched.

I guess I should be claiming now that I'm at L-1.

I am the cop. I investigated AGM night 1, the rationale being that I wanted to get a read on my sanity and thought the AGM might die N1, giving me a better idea of my sanity. AGM is with the town according to my investigation.

Assuming that AGM is telling the truth about being the doc, I should have one more night of investigation at least, hopefully clearing one townie or identifying a scum. That being said, I still think that Archaebob is scum due to the way he has oddly been defending Cruelty and what I perceived as a kind of meltdown during Muffin's lynch. I accept that he's posted reasons for his convening absence but I don't buy it at all. With 6 days left, we can, as we learned yesterday, lynch someone other than myself or cruelty even though they are the two main wagons. Don't let someone tell you that the 6 days means we are stuck with only two options.
