End of Day 1/Beginning of Day 2: Bombs Away!
Another day of deliberations. Another day of slaughter. And still you have come no closer to finding the infestation that threatens you all.
Killers appear to have a free reign over this station. Indeed, one appears to be brazen enough to attack in the brightness of "day"... not that day or night has much meaning on a space station where the lights are on in the corridors at all times.
It's time you put a stop to this. You drag

to the incinerator newly installed in Atrium 23.
On the surface, he looks just like an average citizen of Ouranos, one of the many apprentices and interns that work in various capacities - official and otherwise - throughout the station. But when you investigate him more closely, something feels... wrong. His story of why he's here changes. His claims of what he's able to do don't add up. Something is subtly wrong about his appearance...
Then it hits you. He's a Shadow, using an illusion to disguise himself and blend into the station's culture. He's probably inexperienced, given that his disguise was seen through so easily; some of you almost feel pity for him. But inexperienced or otherwise, there's only one thing to do with Shadows. DragonsofSummer steps up to pulls the lever and drops DeathNote into the flames of the pit...
"Do you have any last words, Shadow?"
"Heh. You may have caught me... but I will have my comeuppance. The Shadows WILL take this station! You will NEVER catch us all!"
DragonsofSummer ignores the doomed Shadow's final threats and ingloriously dumps DeathNote into the incinerator.
Only... his talk of comeuppance wasn't just an idle threat...

Children? What did DragonsofSummer, the esteemed member of Ancient high society, mean by that? And what is this Ultimate? You've never heard of it before... does it do anything?
Apparently so, as you realize that while
Kairyuu
might still be standing before you, he isn't breathing. Or doing much else besides being dead, for that matter.
What the hell is going on here? This demands investigation.
Two hours later, the security detail dispatched to DragonsofSummer's quarters offer a possible and reasonably conclusive explanation. While most of the material in DragonsofSummer's room was normal for an Ancient, a small, concealed safe contained materials relating to a grand plan of subversion. Apparently, the skilled hypnotist DragonsofSummer had grown disgusted with what he perceived as passiveness in the upper echelons of Ancient government, and had resolved to take it over by force. Using his skills, he planned to recruit an unwilling army, launch a coup d'etat, and then lead the Ancients to destroy all opposition. Kairyuu, the head of the station's morgue, was simply an unwitting - and unwilling, and unfortunate - puppet in this scheme.
But then, why did DragonsofSummer think he could launch a coup d'etat from such a remote station? Is there some high-level negotiation going on that you hadn't heard about before now?

In the meanwhile,
malthusis
walks along the station with an air of intense concentration. He - rather, she - has two tasks to deal with tonight, one personal and one official. It wouldn't do to be late...
However, as malthusis prepares to execute her first assignment, she is stopped by
Budja
...
"What are you doing here? This person is important."
"I'm here to notify the occupant of an official summons. We have intelligence indicating that he has ties to the Forsaken, and needs to come with us."
"What are you talking about? Do you have the wrong room or something? This person has never been accused of ties to the Forsaken..."
"Stand aside, citizen, or face the wrath of the Grey!"
"If you want to get to this person, you'll have to go through me!"
Two strokes later, and Budja lies dead on the floor. But he has one last trump card to play...

malthusis cannot avoid the wrath of the fallen, and so falls the highest ranking of all Grey - defending the Ancients, one kill at a time. But... why was he found in the Ancient officials' quarters?

The mysterious multiversal traveler Vi, who otherwise has no part to play in our story, is struck down by the wrath of the Ascended in his ship just outside Ouranos Station. Beside him lies a note:
No, Vi's not playing in the game... but I'm currently obligated to make sure that Vi appears in the game as a doomed NPC, just like he's obligated to make sure that I'm Mafia in his.

Boxman
, one of the most esteemed Ancients, lies dead in the middle of Atrium 23.
You'll have to wait for the full autopsy report to come into to get the full picture, but you're quite sure that Boxman was Ancient... and that his loss is a terrible blow.
The Shadows suffered... but they have also had their vengeance. Can you stop those that remain before it's too late?
