dramonic- can the monogamists opt to use AIM instead of a QT? Two-way communications are typically easier that way, in my experience.

Obviously for the latter sentiment, I had no idea that QTs were going to become the subject of a gambit. No AIM discussion took place, actually.

@Zazie-48: I haven't selfvoted for, but I was having a really rough day yesterday, so I made that my excuse for a random vote. Then I jokingly got pissed when Adel didn't care.

More observations later, I need to be elsewhere soon.

@Zazie: Can you please *attempt* some sense of consolidation for this game? Three points per post, instead of just one at a time? Your posting style clutters the thread and makes conversations between players that are happening simultaneously impossible to read.

I still can't shake the fact that DeathNote said "Stop voting my lover!" in response to me voting Adel, and I think that's a slip. Sens claims meta inconsistencies on Adel, and somehow, I think the two add up. That would put SpyreX and Yankee in the group with them, but their scumminess, while not conclusive, isn't implausible either.

Chain games where we have to wait on whose turn it is are anti-town. Often I accuse the person responsible for starting such games scummy for it.

I never have made the argument IN A GAME whilst town-aligned, but I'm still allowed to say that I hold this belief true. The thing is with this sort of chain game, everyone's encouraged to take the mentality of, "oh, let's just wait until the guy goes and takes his turn and everybody's gone." It's anti-town, and starting up this stuff that decelerates discussion is scummy to me, in general. It happened in M838, where I made this argument (whilst scum, yes, but using a belief I'd use as town), where we thought "let's go around and say what we think of everyone," and with even one lurker, the whole game crashed discussion-wise.

So yes, you, Adel, are scummy for putting the brakes on our discussion. And once everyone talks, I want to hear that answer as to what tells you could be looking for.

Adel, I did misword it and should've said "held the belief." (and I even thought in the first reply that I hadn't used a word implying I used the argument in-game.) Saber mentioned pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Why is this miswording scummy? If you still think it's a lie, even, why is it scummy? Right now, I'm operating on the belief that you're stretching cases here.

@Adel-203: First off, I didn't lie, again. Even if you're operating on the assumption that I bullshitted, I still don't see how you're drawing scummy interpretations out of that. Doesn't mean my point is any less valid. How is this alleged manipulation negatively impacting the town?

As everyone is mentioning, your interpretations of my QT behavior are way off the map. I was bored, so I tried to strike up conversation with the mod, and no further details about specifics will be given for that reason. One thing though, I also wanted saber to see whatever dramonic's reply was to that question, so that's why it was put in the topic. Yeah, I could've PM'd dramonic and saber in the same shot, but hey, I had a big fat QT which did exactly the same thing, so I thought, might as well. Convenience is the American standard.

The only good question you asked is the one about DeathNote's pressure derailing. Admittedly, I would love to see this from *specifically him*, but the thing is that you decided to create an entire process that stalled the game, and I believe I have explained my thoughts for why these games are anti-town and the instigators scummy. One other reason to tack on, often including the whole game in this exercise is a pointless thing, usually the focus rests on just a few people who are in the spotlight at that moment in time. Yes, I want to hear this from DeathNote. I don't need to hear it from anybody else.

204 is the pure sign that scum is just trying to pin names to me so I'm scummy. That's not scumhunting, that's scum posting propaganda and pinning names to me so I look bad.

SpyreX, where the hell have you been? Now that's an example of scummy hypocrisy, in the instance that you haven't done jack all game, and now the DN wagon re-forms and PRESTO! SpyreX appears right on cue!

It's the same case, only minus the emo part.

Maybe I need to rethink the attachment thing between Adel-Ex and C-Note. This game just became a little more complicated.

DeathNote, here is why you're getting lynched so often. I don't think anybody's enlightened you, nor are you competent enough to figure this out for yourself, so here it is:

1) APPEAL TO EMOTION
Saying phrases along the lines of "No, you'll die if you vote me" doesn't do any good for the town. It does not offer any rationale as to why someone's wrong, and therefore, it just leads them to believe you're giving up. It's in the Wiki, and I linked it once even. Read it.

2) GIVING UP
This is suicide. You're not playing towards your win condition if you just let them lynch you, and you know you're a townie! The point is that you want scum lynched, so letting them lynch you is going to make you lose the game.

3) PINNING A SIGN LABELLED "VICTIM" TO YOUR BACK
ie: sigging the fact that you're an easy lynch. Why wouldn't scum just want to go after you since you apparently can't handle the pressure of a simple accusation made against you without breaking into the poor defenses aforementioned.

Scrap the sig.

4) REFUSING TO EXPLAIN WHEN ASKED
If you're going to vote, for God's sake, explain why. And just saying "I agree" and voting is scummy as well, to me.

And there are probably several others. In any event, it all boils down to learning how to defend, as that's basically the only core way to stop a bandwagon. If you just cry and sob and throw the white flag when someone throws a pillow at you, there's not much any of us can do.

@Adel: I think the nature of the chain games were different in that here the game didn't really interfere with anything, whilst in the other game, it happened that we were just waiting for everyone to say something, and then once this whole gala was through, THEN everyone resumed discussion. That's probably why I was thrown off a bit.

I knew once you were reaching at me, your alignment was outed, but then DeathNote just trying to quickvote you completely threw me off-balance, and apparently saber took that time to switch over, and I wish he hadn't, I knew the situation was more nuanced than that at that point, but then again, IIRC, he didn't get around to seeing SpyreX's vote complete with hypocrisy on top.

Obviously, with one mislynch, the game complicated, but I personally think the modkill was fine. As one person put it, if the mod has to make subjective decisions to enhance the game, even if it contradicts the ruleset, it should be done. I think the fallibility or elastic clause in every ruleset is pretty much there for that reason.

So, grr, I'm 1-5 as Town now. At least this loss wasn't much my fault.
