No, but their reasoning can still be used against them. Often, if someone tries to cover up a motive with a false one, they will trip themselves up eventually.

I never said that motives aren't useful. I said that it's impossible for one person to know exactly what another was thinking. I also said that it is beneficial for people to explain their actions. You promised to do this, but never did.

Ok, I have a quick post. I think I know who I'm going to pick for my vote
Chaco Vs. SSK
Chaco-1.Helps the town more
2.Was ok until recently where he came with a flurry of scmmy posts with little to know reasoning or description
SSK-1. Almost never helps the town
2.Barely posts and with so it's bad content and I don't know what the hell he's even doing right now. It's like he's in his own world.
Vote: MafiaSSK
He is unhelpful to the town and an overall bad player.
Also, I really want that votecount. To everyone if the votecount doesn't come up- How many votes does this put SSK at?[/list]
I think part of the problem is that SSK is a huge detriment to us. His vote will be wholly unpredictable, his posting erratic and his analysis lacking all but the very, very most shallow and basic of statements. He is devoid of intelligent contribution to the game, lacking in productivity and fully without merit as a player. He will not contribute, he will not advance the game, he will not help us win it. He is, in other words, a bump. He could be a town bump. He could be a scummy bump. Regardless, though, one thing is most certainly assured: he is, indeed, a bump.

Not Voting
(2): Shotty to the Body, Chaco
With 9 alive, 5 votes makes someone swing.
Deadline is Saturday, November 14 at 8pm EST.
A note to all. Unvoting is REQUIRED as per the rules. I counted all of the votes that didn't have unvotes attached this time because you've waited long enough for an accurate votecount, but don't expect it to happen again.
Because, no matter how you dress it up, that's what the world is. A community of idiots doing a series of things until the world explodes and we all die.

And yet you and DB are the scum. Chaco is SK. Done and over with. You're scum because you keep seeming to misrepresent me in a very bad fashion. DB is scum because he's just so damn flip floppy.
How am I misrepresenting you? Does scumminess wholly revolve about how players feel about you? Honestly, I am really disappointed in you right now. I'm certain you can do better than this.

By saying that I am "devoid of intelligent contribution" and "lacking in productivity".
Well, uhhhh...you are. You have not posted anything original. Your best contribution thus far has been that someone "might be scum. They might not be." That is completely worthless.

So when did I miss the part that scum usually meet this definition?
Because in my experience they don't.
They don't *not* meet it either. He could very easily be town...but we'd never know from talking to him because he never says anything of substance. That's why I was originally on Chaco, though, because I feel fairly certain that he is actually scum. Both have to die, though.

I like, I like.
Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the bastards.

I'd rather look for people meeting my definition of scum before looking at people not meeting my definition of town.
so?
We have plenty of time. Besides, we should lynch shotty.
Deadline lynches have a tendency to be on townies. In fact, I've been on only one deadline lynch on scum that I can recall, and that was one where we suddenly changed 30 minutes before the deadline, on a little more than a whim.
