Can you explain the logical flow here?

Another possibility is to make someone we are sure is town On Stage Stuntman. Have them ask the first question (I feel like there is a very obvious first), then have them Stunt off and make sure ckd/StarKiss is lynched.

I am strongly agaisnt CKD dying through lurking. We fucked up as town, using underhand and borderline illegal techniques to get an extra lynch is downright stupid and ruins the game. I'd rather have a hard slope to climb than an easier one knowing the dead scum was basically a mod favour.

I approve of ShadowLurker's stuntman plan. The other important part of having as many town as possible onstage for the next scene is that scum are probably going to lie about the answers their questions. Once we get truthful answers from as many people as possible, then we simply need a majority for the vote and it doesn't matter if there's a scumbag or two on camera.

Also, I don't believe the stuntman should be appointed prescene, so as to prevent any scum shennanigans.

This was posted slightly before he was night killed, so I'm willing to go out on a limb and say given how early it was in the game and the fact that I didn't think he was excessively protown to the point that he'd be a number one target, he may have been somewhat close to correct with his suspicions (though he was, like many of us, wrong about Gaspar and Elmosaurian).

I tried to get something similar close to when MrJellyLee died, but he wasn't as comprehensive. He was calling Gaspar town though. And he was strongly opposed to ckd's "two scumgroups" theory.

Both JellyLee and BEC were super pro-town. I'm sure that's part of the equation. Everything else is WIFOM. As evidenced by BEC's suspicion list.

I did not feel they were "super protown". At least not in the way that I did, and largely still do, about say Orbots and Sottyrulz.

Of course it's WIFOM, but I don't think that's a reason to NOT look at these sorts of things and see if anything stands out.

MJL was also riding Pooky's case a bit at one point about the chronic lurking.

OK should I send the list as it was initially posted?... unless anyone likes my most recent crazy idea:

Switch CKD & StarKiss. Put StarKiss offstage and CKD onstage. If the (confirmed innocent) AP wants CKD lynched s/he can make CKD the stuntman. CKD if made the stuntman will have to stunt after asking his question. If he doesn't he'll be lynched tomorrow. Offstage can then decide whether to lynch StarKiss or CKD.
If the AP doesn't want to lynch CKD, s/he could make Hewitt the stuntman and we could force Hewitt to stunt on threat of lynch tomorrow. Then offstage would have StarKiss & Hewitt to choose from.

I would prefer the list as initially posted.

Making a scummy player the stuntman while on camera feels like a recipe for distaster.

I still think the maximum number of town people need to start the scene on stage. Starkiss is probscum and should not start the day onstage.

If not you (as you are my preference), then Orbots. We haven't hardly even used the sound bytes this game and I think he's town as well. I suppose that might be better since you can still get a job.

Speaking of the signals, do we need to devise anything beforehand?

For images? Maybe pictures of numbers if off camera has an opinion of what should be chosen?

I can't think of anything that wouldn't be self explanatory. (I don't see any reason why off camera would want to impose an opinion either.)

{Kise}

Real quick, just wanted to point out that it may be possible to know whether SMG exist w/o lynching CKD -- And yes, I do see (and am laughing) at me being a lynch candidate next.

Before endgame starts, there's a chance that Mr. Grey will reveal the roles of those not participating. 2 [Something Else] players will make it while whoever else is in their faction buggers off.

I notice that the rules for endgame are being updated. It's an open set-up, and we'll know more about the roles depending on on-screen outcomes.

Also, I asked those two questions for assessment reasons.

FOS to Thesp.. it's needed.

Question removed. Read the rules. - Mod

Clap Board

"Mr. Grey!"

The actor going by the name "sottyrulez" pounds on the door to Mr. Grey's office. There is no answer. The actor doesn't want to make Mr. Grey angry - he has seen enough to know that that is a bad idea - but as he grows impatient he raises his fist to hit the door again.

There is an inhuman scream from inside the office which startles him, and the fist never hits the door. After a few more moments, the door opens, and Mr. Grey appears.

"Can I help you?"

"Uh... I want a bigger role in this movie!"

"Your role is just as important as anyone's."

"I want to be a star! And an internet poll which I had my viewers ballot-stuff says it's what the people want, too!"

"No."

"That's it. I'm putting you On Notice."

sottyrulez, walks over to his dressing room and pulls out a large board with a list of seemingly unconnected items on it, such as "Golf", "Chestnuts", and "The Isle of Wight". He takes a card reading "Mr. Grey" and slides it into the appropriate slot.

"There, what do you think of that?"

Before Mr. Grey can respond, another giant board, this one with the label "Dead to Me", comes rolling out of nowhere and crushes sottyrulez against a wall.

"That board... is surprising... ly heavy..."

And he dies.

Fortunately, his legacy lives on with Stephen Colbert's Formula 401! Buy today, ladies, supplies are limited!

sottyrulez (Stephen Colbert, Innocent) has been murdered. It is Scene 6. With 4 Off Stage, it will take 3 to lynch before the end of the Scene.

Bah.. ok, can't get Grey to confirm whether alignments of fired actors are revealed. While I'm not opposed to lynching CKD for purposes of knowing if he's an innocent that declined joining the SMG, I do admit that was my strongest reason for finding him scummy (not seeing other players flip SMG).

Thoughts on things overall, Thesp?

Ack, I'm so sorry about that. Here's what my onstage post said:

"Crap. I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do.

Wait, why are both information passers (Mighty Orbots and I) onstage?

I'm more comfortable with shooting for "Good or Very Good" rather than "Good". I'd also prefer to build in some redundancy into our questions to back up other people's information, as I'm extremely uncomfortable with any plan that relies on no liars, and won't let us figure out
who
lied.

In fact, I lean more towards mitigating losses, and so I'm a little more comfortable with ideas like avoiding bad/very-bad outcomes.

Of course, another possiblility worth considering: I'm liking the chopping possibility. In fact, I think we can do it with some redundancy and give us some decent odds. Hold on a bit and I'll toss it out ASAP if it works. (It's similar to what Talilan originally posited.)"

Clearly some of it is outdated, as I'm offstage rather than on.

Going to read now.

I find it interesting that Pookyscum was incredibly agamant about the AP not coming out.

It feels like everyone offstage last scene was scum.

GoofballdAndBalloons, can you explain your "Thok is scum" theory? I'm having the hardest time imagining it.

I want to hear Talilan's secret word now. (If they didn't already claim it and I overlooked it.)

Pookyscum was also very adamant about not claiming secret words.

I'm actually flabbergasted that curiouskarmadog got almost zero attention yesterday, what with his odd on-screen choices (claimed or not).

This made me laugh:
Gaspar wrote:

I want Talilan fired. In fact, I'm all for a cycle of fired directors, and wish I'd pushed for it earlier.

I'm still very, very down with lynching curiouskarmadog. I'm also questioning whether we should make zu_Faul claim whether or not he is the Assistant Producer. (I'm leaning towards doing this.)

I'm also going to be out of town at BGG.Con from Wednesday, November 18th through Sunday, November 22nd. I will do my best to find some wifi access to make some "still here" posts to keep from getting modkilled (which sadly is ever-closer), but this means that I'll need my part completed by 11/17, as I'll be practically useless after that until I return on 11/23.

I am an evil, evil person for not posting. I had a really busy weekend. It'll get better this week, I am sure. I am gone for next weekend (pretty important university related stuff), but after that you got my 100% attention. I have been paying not enough to this game.

But yeah, finally off-stage :)

Why should I claim? I doubt this is a good idea.

ckd so looks like a jester to me. Or some role for which it is beneficial to get lynched. There is only one thing you can do to someone playing like that...

I was also pretty sure Gaspar was scum...

Ok, some quick opinions:

Shadowlurker: Not scum, being first on KY Krew wagon. (Before the Gaspar flip this was even stronger, as I had Gaspar as scum (who was second or third on that wagon)).

Goofballoons: Well, before the Gaspar flip I had them as sure town (also second or third on KY Krew, debating a lot with Gaspar). Now I am very unsure about this. THey jsut had a huge fight with hewitt though, so I am gonna look at him...

Hewitt: ...and it does not look pretty. I just looked at all his onstage posts. Scene 1, he continues to spew doubt, when it is obvious that the advocates should be followed. Then he tries to vote (does not count), then says something along the lines "I don't want to hammer". Scene 2, he first says that the Crone is the best idea, then he goes with "I'll have majority decide". Then has a change of heart to mother, then to crone again. Then he actively protects the wagon.
Offstage: Says pooky is scum while pooky is on stage. Votes pooky, when he has the opportunity. Says he doesn't think the wagon is going anywhere. Then leaves the wagon. Says Gaspar is "absolute, absolute scum". In the same post he says there are 3 people he'd rather lynch. What? (His post 107).
Hewitt is pretty scummy.
