Shoulda hammered someone when I had the chance.

What do you guys think about a mass claim? Mafia could lie as long as they could think of something that they could fake, but since they can't nightkill it seems like a lot of the drawbacks of a mass claim would be negated.

Well, I probably am not townish enough to get away with this, but I'd really rather not go first.

Mass claim would be fine if it's lylo. But I don't think it is, so, unless there's an actual reason to MC I'm not sure why we should at this point.

What we need is more discussion. So a MC would give us something to talk about and might not be bad. But, there's stuff to talk about anyway, perhaps everyone could state what they think about the case on Nachomamma8 from day 1 and subsequent bandwagon.

Was mathcam's original reason for suspecting Nachomama8 a good one?

Sanjay, what do you mean by "not townish enough"? What have you done or not done that you think causes others to see you in a non-town light? I'm curious since my read on Rosso Carne was somewhat town, since he refused to hammer lewarcher82 (mathcam's view on why that's not a town-tell is noted).

I think your Rosso Carne read is kind of shaky because I think both scum and town would be crazy to hammer lewarcher82 unless it guaranteed victory.

So I was kind of discounting it.

I don't think I have a problem with a mass claim. The obvious potential benefit is that the scum (I really think there's just one -- I don't see how people can think that there would be 2 scum out of 6 people...maybe someone can elaborate?) might have to go early, and not have a role that resembles anything like town roles. The corresponding obvious potential detriment is that scum either already has a role similar to town roles, or goes near the end and can fake it well enough. In this case, we've gained nothing and just revealed everyone's role -- though, if all of our roles are just dice manipulation, having everyone's role out in the public might not actually be that detrimental. To summarize, I'm not sure I see a compelling reason one way or the other -- I think for now I'm with excedrin that we should wait until a probable LyLo.

If we do massclaim, we should probably randomly decide on an order. I don't particularly care about going first except for (from my point of view) the loss of potentially having the scum trip up with a bad claim. Sanjay, why don't you want to go first?

All in all, I'm finding Sanjay much more town than Rosso -- that last post in particular.

Actually, I'm curious to hear your take on this.

And I vote yes. :)

all right, let me add something I didn't notice, even though you probably knew it already. If there are 2 scums, they cannot be Excedrin and mathcam, otherwise they would have won.

I think you're still a little quick to dismiss scum pairings (although this is an odd statement coming from someone who has dismissed
all
scum pairings :)). If I were scum with Excedrin, we could only win if we were so sure about the game mechanics that outing ourself as the scum by insta-killing would result in a 100% guaranteed victory. Given the undisclosed roles in the game, especially those that might manipulate votes/rolls, I don't see how we would be sure of something like that.

I will explore the exce & cam situation a little further.

The number of players
p=5
; number of scum
s<p/2
. Endgame is for definition whenever
s
equals
p
. If there were third parties, you would have won anyway. The only way you & excedrin could loose by instantlynching is to assume one of the townies is unlynchable, or that he is a jester.

It seems unlikely to me, so I prefer to exclude that both you and exce are mafia.

Based on your assumption that there are two scum AND your assumption that those two scum win when they equal half the town, you have eliminated from consideration mathcam, Excedrin and me as scum. Do you therefore conclude that the scum are le Chat and yourself, lewarcher82?

Good point. Then there should be only one mafia and could be anyone.

That is a fantastic catch. That sure doesn't seem to follow from the rules -- it's certainly possible that even with 1 mafia and 1 town left, the town could get lucky and be able to outvote the mafia. Unless, of course, lewarcher has specific information about the mafia win condition.

I'm pretty ready to put my votes back on lewarcher.

You guys are right, I did not think about it. Then go ahead, vote me. It is more or less like I voted Cam because he misread the results of dices, but whatever.
There is most likely only one mafia, I was wrong. I am definitely disposable, and since whatever I say is acritically used against me, I guess I am only a source of noise.

I don't see anything wrong with a declaration of intent without an actual vote, especially since my vote is potentially one vote (Excedrin's) away from a hammer. I'm not ready for the day to be in any danger of ending until we hear from Le Chat.

Eh, losing patience again. If we lynch lewarcher and we haven't won yet, we need some replacements.

Vote: Lewarcher, Lewarcher, Lewarcher.

I guess it's basically up to Excedrin at this point. (Or, Lewarcher, you could try to find someone else to start a case up against...)

What is wrong in the sentence "For what is worth, me neither"?

I am honestly pissed: nightless games are totally based on sympathy and pseudo-psychology. I will go for my feelings: it should be either Le Chat (who is kinda disappeared) or Cam, Rosso's original FoS.

Since Le Chat is lurking, which is no good strategy for a scum in this kind of game, and since Math is pretending to consider other hypothesis but every day he ends up voting me, I
vote: Mathcam; Mathcam
.

Excedrin, please, whatever you want, but quickly.
