We have 11 players left and working on the assumption of two scum teams, I would guess we have 5 scum left. Three to a side with one scum already dead. Maybe with an SK in there too? I dunno. So I would guess 5/6 scum.

I have a feeling you are trying to trap me here in this pointless set up speculation.
You're assuming three-man Mafia factions in a 25 player game why, exactly?
This is exactly why I don't like talking about the set up. I am no expert especially when it comes to large games. It is simply a guess. I prefer to scum hunt and worry about numbers and teams later.

Does anyone notice I am practically universally considered scummy? For all those who think I am scum, who am I scum with?

I still think lynching me is a bad idea today because if we 2 for 1 ourselves we are crippled if not done for. But if that is what everyone else wants to do, I should pick. If someone nominates themselves they could have a kill immunity. In fact I would like scotty on my wagon early now, if this is the path we decide to take.

However, I do not think that is the best path.

The best use for a supersaint is in a 3 man LY/LO where 1/3 odds become 2/3 from another town's perspective and 50/50 from my own. I claimed today my real role because I did not want to end the game so quickly by 2 for 1ing ourselves. I considered ensnaring and saying I was vanilla and trying to blow up unsuspecting scum but I do not think we are in LY/LO yet.

I think empking is scum, I have yet to see him contribute this many opinions in a game.

Joy for group think.

I have never been lynched as scum. Will still not be true this game either.

Tubby if you think I am scum that much will you do the honor of hammering me? I want to go gracefully.

Still don't think that Sajin is scum, still think that the argument 'if he's town we get to take one with him' is making him the default lynch and it's dead stupid.

Scum are pushing for this argument to get a 2 for 1. With a nightkill that means we get endgammed by a 4 of 5 man scum team (8 left). Which is what I think is going on.

Wish more people would post.

Based on kill flavor I would figure there to be a SK (who erases) and a mafia team making the kills.

What do you think?

I used to agree with you but have a look up a bit with Tar's answer to my question about kill flavours. If the lynching faction have the Erased kill, there can't really be an SK still alive.

Actually, theoretically there *can* be an SK still alive, but only if that SK failed to kill N1 and N2 (possible, given either an inactive SK or an SK who tried to kill qwints N1 and <player Mufasa protected N2> N2). The former looks more possible (if this turns out to be the case, I'd put pretty good odds on DizzyIzzy being our SK, given Ascetic claim and more consistent inactivity; tubby216 can't be ruled out, but ZazieR has been known to lurk through the day game and still send in actions). Also note that in that case our SK would have to be Black Mage, and that in the case of SK roflcopter can't be scum (pretty much the only case he's NOT scum, IMO).

Note that if we think there is an SK, we either need to lynch the SK today (and do so directly: having an SK hammer Sajin when he's telling the truth is a town autoloss) or count on crosskills. Doubt there's an SK, though.

Another note: This game's design has been reminding me of Mafia 86 for quite a while (one fewer player, powerless Mafia, and Cult+SK instead of Lyncher Team, but otherwise feels similar). Having gone back and looked at that setup for a refresher...
Mafia 86 setup wrote: - 1x Cop
- 1x Tracker
- 1x Watcher
- 1x Vig
- 1x Roleblocker
- 1x Doc
- 8x Vanilla Townie

- 4x Mafia 1 (Japanese Mafia) Goon

- 4x Mafia 2 (Green Mafia) Goon

- 1x SK (NK immune)
- 1x Cult Leader
Remembering that, it's time for me to comment on something I promised to explain earlier but forgot about:

I wanted a massclaim D2 because with 2 cops and a vig dead, I thought that EVERY strong power role (role that can confirm an unconfirmed player's alignment - mainly investigative roles, vigs, and roleblockers) had probably died N1. I held back on the massclaim at the start of Day 2 because I thought that there were probably a few reasonably useful power roles that hadn't shown up yet (doc/jailkeeper and masons); when Mufasa softclaimed, I judged that there were probably not enough good power roles left to make massclaim a bad idea (in particular, I suspected Masons, and judged that the possibility of confirming multiple players or confirming a scum was probably in a specific group of players - depending on Masons' mod confirmation - outweighed the problem of Masons getting killed off*). That assumption, however, proved a mistake (wasn't expecting delathi to be Roleblocker - power, maybe, but not roleblocker; likewise, wasn't expecting a third cop).

When I pushed for a massclaim D3 (especially after rofl's claim), however, my reasoning was somewhat different: given the claims available at the time, I thought that there was a good chance that *every power role in the game had claimed*; additional power role claims would either mean that the power role claimer was scum or that Percy was scum (Sironigous's claim, had it come yesterday, would have moved me solidly into the anti-Percy camp.

I set this logic aside today (in favor of "two surviving power roles") because I regauged the numbers after the N3 reveals, but after looking back at Mafia 86 and taking a look at the claims I'm starting to wonder if my original thought was closer to the truth than I thought... namely, that the only surviving town power role in the game is Sironigous. Every other power role claim has been an oddball, and 8 power - 8 vanilla - 2 Discontinued Goons - 2 Discontinued power - 2 Mafia B Goons - 2 Mafia B power - 2 Lyncher Team looks plausible in light of 86.

If this is the case:

- Roflcopter is presumably unrevealed faction (my read says "town if there's one scumgroup, otherwise 100% scum", and his claim is easy to fake provided that he's NK immune and his group has a GF.)
- Sajin is probably unrevealed faction as well, mainly because his claim doesn't point strongly towards a specific ability and I suspect the roleblock Roflcopter claimed actually belongs to his buddy.
- DizzyIzzy is probably Discontinued, given that the claim looks like the kind of claim where a scum trueclaims abilities but not alignment and it's not consistent with being either UNK or RBer.

---

(Note on why to assume 4-man Mafias if multiscum: 3-man, while not unheard of, is extremely vulnerable to crosskill or getting randomly nailed on an early lynch in a 25-player game, and would only exist if every member was a power role (Lyncher Team was presumably as small as it was because it, unlike a Mafia, apparently only had to kill four specific players to win). Likewise, 5-man Mafias are too strong (too easy for town to be out of the game by D2); some mods will run a 4-man Mafia even in a 25-player game with 1 Mafia, let alone 2. That pretty much leaves 4-man Mafias, with power adjusted via adjusting the number of vanillas.

Also note that in the case we have 2 Mafias of different sizes, Discontinued will probably be the smaller of the two.)
