See here's what gets me though:
1. The townies we've flipped, and the townies who've claimed, all have inherent powers, which matches the theme of the game - being born near the Dark Goma grants powers. SpyreX looks like he was born outside the city walls and has to manufacture powers through these potions.
2. SpyreX's role PM lacks the Type line that the sample townie PM and my PM have.
3. SpyreX's role PM lacks any mention of the Giver.
4. SpyreX has claimed that his role doesn't care about the Giver/War at all.
5. SpyreX's claimed role name lacks the -xr ending. Again, I'm giving credence to this theory until I see something that contradicts it.

These things add up to 3rd party (prolly survivor) to me.
1.) Our sample size is still fairly small (although if I end up being the ONLY town with a not er role name I'll shake my fist). Further, when this was brought up day 1
I actively said it wasn't correct
. Now, assuming I am ANY third party role survival is going to be a key component of my success - why in the name of everything holy would I paint a target on myself as third party? Now, if I am, in fact, town - doesn't derailing an incorrect train of thought make sense?

2.) I said I don't have that specific line that was quoted. Which I dont. That doesn't mean I don't have a similar line referencing Special.

3 & 4.) Yes to both. However, again, as third party wouldn't it be in my best interest to lie about these? (as, of course, the expected answers were obvious?)

5.) Sigh. No budging you on this for now.

So, lets look at this (and I swear to god if someone says WIFOM I will scream) from whats happened:

I don't make sense as scum in this scenario - either SB and I are scum together and I opted to bus the miller by calling them out and they turned around and bussed me back OR SB is actually a miller and I...wasted my ability on a miller.

I don't make sense as third party in this scenario - see #1 above and my honesty when lying would have made a whole hell of a lot more sense with that whole "needing to survive" bit.

Which leaves me being town. Which I am. :P

----

That said, I still think PZ is town, pretty solid as this goes on. He's actually TRYING to parse through whats going on and find scum in it.

BM's aren't bad lynches. SB is a great lynch. I am a good lynch informationally (but a bad lynch flip-wise) ;)

True, but I think you can use reason to at least come to the conclusion that it is MOST likely it did come from Spyrex since he asked you about it before you had said anything.

Explain how that is the simplest option when factual data surrounding you receiving a power seems to point in the opposite direction.

ftr, I agree with pretty much nothing milkshake ever says. Just thought I would put that out there. I can't tell if he is really that inexperienced or if he is scum.

I really don't like how rapidly the wagon on SB builds. It all seems a little convenient and most of the people jumping on it don't have a lot of logic behind their votes, imo.

I'm very happy to see that Volkan is coming around to the benmage wagon. I think we should get some proper scumhunting going on.

I would like all of the people on the SB wagon to wisen up and come over to the benmage wagon, which is highly likely to hit scum. kthx.

It wouldn't take a lot to convince me of that jump but I still can't shake the gut feeling I got reflexed because SB is scum and this was a clever ruse.

And, not to mention, the fact that we STILL haven't seen what the damn potion did but we got the classic ascerbic "I have a life" business as a response.

I am still not voting SB because I think it is a bad wagon. I 100 percent think she needs to spill that ability asap though.

My quip about the vote was obviously to be sarcastic. If you read later it was the oddities of his claim and his inconsistent statement where he mentioned he had nothing listed as power type but than suggests it hints special...

BTW my role doesn't mention the Giver.

@ Papa Zito

So what do you think about the players that were eager to agree with your third party theory?
Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

I missed that, thanks. This thread moves like lightning sometimes. I do not fault anyone for missing the occasional thing in this thread.

Based on the suspects of my suspects and the dead, yes I think Snow is town. I wanted to know the ability because I thought withholding that information would not be in the best interest of town for trying to put this puzzle together. Bleh, I was hoping it would be a roleblock or a vig as they can help confirm herself.

In any case I find it incredibly stupid to lynch someone who claims to have received a 1 shot cop investigation. If they flip scum sure, no loss. But, if they flip town then we lose more information we could of had.

Did he give us a role name/flavor/giver info? Anything anyone could link or iso reference for me please.

1- I'm nothing more than a beggar. Some guy gave me money to give some message to some guard. After that, I was enjoying my new-earned money when the news that The Giver was killed broke out. And it seems, that, somehow, I feel guilty for that (for passing the message).

Thanks dram.

So she does fit into the "-xr" theory and has giver info.

So back to this question:

I'd really like to test out both of these skeptical theories on SpryeX. Its two faults against him. Minor, yes, but his oddness in his answer regarding his power type (see #2 his post top of page 59) is more substantial and is why i think hes the best lynch for the day.

This SB lynch/lynch-support is an easy excuse.

I'm an active player. (Hence this post) Like i said to KmD. I spammed D1 in jest with 36 posts...there hasnt been a day close to that. Subtract 36 from my total, and all I am is an active player. Because I'm active I talk/discuss with people.(this)...(adding up to a lot of posts) I dealt with Vollkan/VP today, and also had my own agenda of questions.

So yeah...i was debating underlining myself to illustrate an obvious town person. But I was more trying to show people who've fallen off the radar. I.E haven't posted in a while, or hardly post(cruise style).

Stupid preview button. Any roads, my point is, it's true that being off screen is bad, and a good scum tell for me, but that doesn't mean that the players with most posts are just safe from this. There's active lurking (and spamming btw) to take into account as well.
