I mean, this is really weird from mipe being town, but it's also really weird from mipe being scum. The only role I can think of that has any kind of innate kill immunity would be a SK, and there was only the one kill last night. A minority of GFs have it. Either way you look at it, you're looking at picking probably one role out of fifteen that's unlikely to be in the game at all. (This discounts selection bias from a 4 page day 1, yes.) And I cannot fathom what SpyreX would be doing with a gambit like this.
I suppose you can argue the odds that (he was given it + he has it) > the odds (he was given it). That still seems marginal, though. The most interesting thing is that mipe was pretty calm and uninterested for someone being told they were about to be shot. You'd assume that if he was a SK, he'd understand the reaction he'd get after when he was shot and didn't die.. why would you not claim bulletproof in that situation? I don't think it takes much imagination to claim being given a BP, either. The OMGUS was pretty weird, though - feels like a standard scummy "attack my attacker" thing.
This, I agree with. KMD, I don't understand your vote there.Zakeri wrote:Whether Mipe was lying or not, I expected mindshattering. Not only was there no mind shattering, but I still don't see how he could possibly ask who was killed when apparently he's already warned spyrex against shooting him. A Full claim might be in order here.To say it bluntly, I'm a moon bunny and your mind will be shattered if you try to kill me.
mipe: How did you feel when SpyreX talked about shooting you?
Given that you're voting SpyreX because you don't believe someone else caused his kill to fail, should I be voting you if I believe he did try to kill you? Why is SpyreX lying about shooting you?
Mufasa: What exactly makes you think he breadcrumbed it?
Zak: I don't think that mipe is definitely scum, I want to try and figure out what's going on with him before we lynch anyone. I have no idea about zwets but would be happy with his death, since it's intentional and he has the meta defence at the ready... I think Xyl's stance is a bit weird, he started out voting for zwets and then didn't argue for zwets being vigged over mipe; I don't really know what was so convincing about the case against mipe; it's easy enough to vote zwets like that when it's unlikely a majority will follow. That, and he smells funny. I guess most other people are primarily talking about mipe and to some less extent zwets, so it depends on how that turns out; I don't have a good read on either of them yet.
I actually think it's important to hear from a bunch of people and get their views on record, here. Yesterday was unproductive mostly because it was short with no discussion, I don't want a repeat performance; I don't think we've heard anything much from about half the game.
