Why would a scum roleblocker be motivated to confirm a town player?...that does not make sense. Your "if the roleblocker" statement was if a roleblocker choose to check porochaz over block me. If they were town, how would this have "freed me up" any more than before. If they were scum why would they have motivation to do this. So, which scenario is likely ether?

What makes more sense is him BEING a scum roleblocker trying to save himself with a claim. And not wanting the cop to investigate him tied into the claim. Yep, that makes a lot more sense.

scum, a mafia roleblocker could theoretically get lucky and target some random unclaimed person who targetted Porochaz for the reasons I already gave.

However, this would mean that the roleblocker was targetting this person instead of you. So you can say, "Hey, I wasn't roleblocked, so if you failed to target Porochaz, take it with a grain of salt," and it still helps the town because you weren't roleblocked. (This assumes you've been roleblocked in the past. If you haven't been, this is probably all a non-issue anyway.)
