Open 162--Trendy and Subversive - Over! before 831

Post Post #0 (isolation #0) » Wed Sep 09, 2009 3:02 pm

Post by Khelvaster »

Welcome to open 162. You're in a small company with only seven people in it. You’re very trendy: everyone has the latest styles of clothes. The designer mafia, however, has infiltrated your firm and is attempting to destroy it…by force! The situation has quickly grown out of hand, and now the group of you are locked in the building. Tempers are starting to run high, and you really wouldn’t be surprised if people started dying or camping out in here to stop the infiltration of your firm from reaching further heights. Yeah…

This setup consists of:

3 townies
1 Mafia Goon
1 Mafia Roleblocker
1 cop and 1 deputy
OR
1 doc and 1 nurse.

Farside told me that this is how the setup was to be interpreted. It can’t be 1 cop/1 nurse or 1 doc/1 deputy

Role PMs are:

mafia goon
You're a mafia goon partnered with XXX. You can converse with him at night. Each night, you need to agree on whom to kill. When you do, one of you needs to send me the name of whomever you are killing. You win when every non-mafia is dead.

mafia roleblocker
You're a mafia roleblocker partnered with YYY. You can converse with him at night. Each night you need to agree on whom to kill. When you do, one of you needs to send me the name oh whomever you are killing. In addition, you can also choose up to one person a night to roleblock. If you roleblock them, they will not be explicitly told they were roleblocked. If you're the only guy alive, you can both kill and roleblock. You win when every non-mafia is dead.

Doctor
You're a doctor. You can choose one person a night to save. PM me their name at night. If they are targetted to die that night, they live instead. You win when all mafiates are dead.

nurse
You're a nurse. When the doctor dies, you get his role. You win with the town.

Cop
You're a cop. Each night, you can PM me the name of someone to investigate. Before morning starts, you'll get whether they are town or mafia. You win with the town.

Deputy
You're a deputy. When the cop dies, you get his role. You win with the town.

Rules:
1. If you have a problem with my modding, PM me first. If you still have a problem after discussing the issue with me, PM the list mod.
2. If there is a mod error like a vote miscount, feel free to post in the game thread.
3. You cannot talk with people about this game outside of the game thread unless your role specifically says that you can.
4. If you haven't posted for over 3 days, I will prod you.
5. If you don't respond to prods, I will replace you.
7.After you are dead, you can continue reading the game, but you may not comment on the game in any way.
8. If a player leaves, I won't start night until that player is replaced. If he leaves during the night, night won't end until he is replaced.

Gameplay:
1. Majority votes are required to lynch somebody. For example, 3/6 or 3/7 votes aren't enough. 4/6 or 4/7 are, but not 4/8.
2. Only Bold Votes in the form of Vote: Someone count.
3a. If you want to change your vote, just Vote: Someone else .
3b.
Make sure that you unvote: whoever you were voting for if you aren't changing your vote and just want to unvote. I won't count an unvote if you just “unvote”--I use ctrl+f on “vote:” to votecount. “Unvote” doesn't have a colon, and thus won't be counted.

4. I would like to keep nights down to 48 hours. PM me as soon as you figure out what you're doing. If I don't get night actions within 48 hours of night being declared, I'll PM all relevant people to prod them.
5. Players can't target themselves with their ability unless they are told they can in their role PM.
6.If no lynch is decided by the deadline, whoever has the most votes is lynched. If there are equal number of votes on two or more people, I'll extend the deadline. If that doesn't fix things, whoever of the two people who are tied had all their votes placed on them first that day is lynched.

Alive

Cass
Yabbaguy

Netopalis

Dead

CSL--mafia goon--lynched D1
Khamisa--townie--lynched N1
Jahudo --Townie--Lynched D2
Albert B. Rampage--Nurse--Lynched N2

Lag actually does exist in real life. For proof, look no further than Jesus: When he died, it took him three *days* to respawn.

I like my unvotes to be unvote: player. It really makes things easier. Besides, you really ought to know who you are unvoting if you are unvoting :P. If you're really lazy, you can unvote: . Just don't unvote. Thank you, and have a nice day :).

I'm so sorry--I have been having a really freaking busy week building a bonfire while not doing school stuff. A really big one. The thing on top of it is a full-sized outhouse. We burn it tonight...

Anyway, I'm back now. I like the recent spurt of activity.

Jahudo wrote:There appears to be a deadline. At least in theory.

@Mod: Is this rule in effect? If so, how long do we have?
6. Games are on a 3-week per in-game day deadline if nobody is lynched by then.

Oh crap...That was a holdover from the newbie game. It's been removed from my ruleset as of now.

Also, 70-foot-high flames. 'nough said.

Jahudo wrote:Ok, Kham can stay. I want ABR to stay too. A scummy ABR could just as easily lurk to victory but his threats of leaving or claiming are actually a townish move to get people to respond.

What happened to CSL? It sounded like he was going to be replaced, then he came back, and now he's disappeared again.
He's been prodded

CSL, mafia goon, has been lynched. It's now night 1. I would like all night actions to be in within 48 hours.

On day 2, you find that Khamisa has been strangled with a couple of ties. It's odd. He is, however, quite dead.

Khamisa, Townie, has been killed N1.

I haven't posted anything because there haven't been any more votes.

Oh wait, there was a no-lynch vote. My bad. The cognitive dissonance of ABR doing something other than rushing to lynch someone blew my mind :P.

I just added Cass to the replace topic.
