I'm reluctant to poke around with the timing of the deadline seeing as the mod said it hit 12 hours late and included Budja in the vote count.

it doesnt matter what the mod did after the vote..what matters is the mod stated the deadline was 6pm..Bud voted at 8pm...usually when a mod sets a deadline..that deadline doesnt change.

I've seen plenty of people vote after the stated deadline but before the mod arrived just in case it helped as town. I've done it as town. I don't think it's scummy.

Yes, I did know it was a couple of hours after deadline but I voted anyway, mainly to show my position on the lynch. I didn't know if my vote would be counted or not.

This game feels like a game of minesweeper where you need that one breakthrough to happen so you can plant flags where the mines are.

First thing I noticed on the reread was KK's FoS which I pointed out in my Page 2 post here. He responded by accusing me of Dismissing in-game content, which I replied to here. Looking back, he never really replied to my original accusation of the fact that the P1 FoS was, really, covering his arse.

CKD's reaction to Budja's RVS vote seems a bit OTT - sure, it wasn't a good reason. But Post 48 basically looks like OMGUS.

KK's attacking of Quag in Post 58 looks reaching at best, could even be taken as chainsaw-y.
He also appears to not have responded to my request for an explanation as to how I misinterpreted him here. KK seems to be going out of his way to avoid answering anything.

Stopping here for now as MS has stopped loading...
Oh, wait, it's back.

@CKD
- I'm not seeing what the Budja case is. Could you please remind me?

I'm happy to
Vote: Kublai Khan
as I did yesterday.
Sure, it's not a great case. You might even think it OMGUSsy. But it's all I could find right now. Here's hoping this can be the breakthrough that makes this game interesting.

Apologies - it's not an RVS vote at all. Same point applies however, I still think it was an overreaction.
CKD wrote:also, there is only 8 pages in this game..how did you miss it?
By not reading the game properly, because of lack of interest. Which is why this whole catchup was needed in the first place.

I guess I never replied because I didn't understand the accusation. Doesn't an accusation of covering my arse imply that I made some sort of mistake to begin with? What was it? Not FOSing hasdgfas immediately?

I voted ChannelDelibird because I perceived that he overreacted to curiouskarmadog's joke-vote. Budja asked "what about hasdgfas?" since he had also voted for curiouskarmadog at which point I said "Okay fine" and FOSed hasdgfas. I had been planning to question hasdgfas after ChannelDelibird but I wanted to get ChannelDelibird's reason first because he's one of the very few that I hadn't played with yet. It's you and MacavityLock that are making a "ZOMG! SINISTER!" reaction to nothing, really.
molestargazer wrote:KK's attacking of Quag in Post 58 looks reaching at best, could even be taken as chainsaw-y.
I make no apologies for thinking that Quagmire was scum. It sucks that I was wrong, but he made no attempt to try to look town.

Though it's funny that you now think that my case was "reaching and chainsaw-y". Especially since you didn't have a problem piggy-backing on my Quagmire case with no added insight. That's the sort of 180° move that gets you invited to the X-Games.
molestargazer wrote:He also appears to not have responded to my request for an explanation as to how I misinterpreted him here. KK seems to be going out of his way to avoid answering anything.
Sorry, I missed your post while replying to MacavityLock. Check the timestamps it was a near-simulpost.

For an explanation as to how you've misinterpreted the tone of my posts, here is you misinterpreting the tone of my posts:
molestargazer (61) wrote:Whilst you may have counted the discussion as 'serious', to me it was your first post and it was still RVS.
In fact, if you look back to the post where I accuse you of misinterpreting the tone of my posts, I'm quoting the exact same passage.

How the hell is it "OMGUSsy"? After I missed your last post I didn't even address you for the rest of Day 1 or any at all of Day 2? And your case isn't merely "not great", it's really weak. Either I had already responded to it, or you're asking me to clarify something that I already was pretty clear about when I posted about it the first time. I don't remember you being such an obtuse player. What's the deal?

It's the fact that you FoSed only after being called out on it.

1. X-Games?
2. I asked Quag questions about his 'case' because I didn't see his logic. I found his lack of one scummy. I didn't just use your case to 'hop-on' to the wagon. What made you think that?
KK wrote:Sorry, I missed your post while replying to MacavityLock. Check the timestamps it was a near-simulpost.
Understood.
KK wrote:How the hell is it "OMGUSsy"? After I missed your last post I didn't even address you for the rest of Day 1 or any at all of Day 2?
Purely due to the "misinterpretation" and "dismiss in-game content" scenario that went on between us in D1.
KK wrote:And your case isn't merely "not great", it's really weak. Either I had already responded to it, or you're asking me to clarify something that I already was pretty clear about when I posted about it the first time.
The misinterpretation thing I admit was already clarified. That's my bad.
Yes, it's a weak case.

Ok, ok, reading back I found this post on page 2.
CKD wrote: unvote looks like he is actually trying to get conversation started. Has, do you usually attack obvious joke votes during RVS, or is this a change in play style..if so why?
This was just before my initial CKD vote and drama. So I guess I have to accept that I am wrong here. Still I don't my actual reasoning (assuming this post didn't exist) was as poor as suggested.

Quagmire did still stick out as moderately scummy (quite high in comparison as most reads are null) so I don't know how much can be gained by looking at his wagon.

Still having trouble getting reads. Kublia's early game wasn't great, I dislike has's intent to vote me without explanation (maybe a little OMGUS). Nothing much else is standing out.

I owe this game some serious consideration. My gut instinct is telling me to keep in on Kublai, but I need to dig in.
Yes, my fake claim is Innocent Aligned with the Town win condition as per the mod's first post.

1. X-Games is a sports competition where skateboards and other "extreme" athletes compete. Turning 180° is a common move.
2. When you made your case against Quagmire (post 147), you linked back to post 117 where you note that my observation of Quagmire's "wishy-washy playing both sides of the fence" is valid. Then you note that his hasdgfas case has no merit, which I had already questioned him on.

Now you're accusing me of being reaching and chainsaw-y because it lynched an innocent townie.

vote: molestargazer
