I've been re-reading and getting a little bored of the whole "you're reacting at exact the wrong amount" accusations of scummyness. Nobody is really sure of anything and everyone is pretty much just bostering and postering.

I'm intrigued by this setup. I've never been in a game with these rules and I've been racking my brain over how the game could be broken, or if it can't be broken, then what's the best strategy for victory. (Note: If anyone has a link to a previous game that used these rules, I'd be much obliged since the search function is disabled).

I think brainstorming over possible strategy will reveal scum with much better accuracy than what we've been doing so far. With the deadline coming up in a week, I'd say it's worth a shot. What does everyone think?

I have been looking too and TBH the setup looks pretty hard to use.

Bombs look more likely to damage the town than scum (unless most vig's shoot blanks).
Bombs' claiming could give vigs a free reign, but with a fakeclaim and the possbile mafia doctor ability, it could be a free reign to kill townies.

Once two people have done so, then the lynchee is allowed to look at their lynch and choose who they want to be the hammer. Then we make it happen. Penalties to be enacted no those that try anything funny.

Not really. You just threw out a question/problem and I was throwing out a potential solution. I guess it works just as well at L-1.

This doesn't seem like a good solution. It entirely negates the power of supersaints (who are guaranteed town).

this is a horrible way to try to find scum and is borderline scummy. Isn't this completely backwards?

Kublai's idea is better, the lynched is either scum is which case the hammer doesn't matter or they are town and scum get no input on who hammers.

Wait, there isn't any. All I can find from that attacks hascow is this:

He pushes weak and useless cases really hard and is extremely sure of what the town needs to do, despite his logical shortcomings... it's like he's trying to deliberately start a bandwagon. I mean, really? Someone's scummy in the RVS? Are you serious?

Quag is right, the "case" was weak at best...however that early into a game, no case is strong. what should be more bothersome is that has's vote is still on me.
