He appears by my side as I reverse the time paradox. It rewinds, faster and faster until all the timelines are condensed into a single event. I dive down, taking Ray with me. Right before the time paradox uncoils from behind us.

I get sucked into the time paradox, but it suddenly functions like an actual time paradox, two of me forming upon the hill and playing chess against each other.

Naturally, Ray got up and brushed his clothes down before looking at the army departing from the hill and raising a hand, clenching it into a fist as the area around the army becomes surrounded by stygium-dark energy, the army being consumed entirely and without a trace*

No, because it targetting NPCs, not one of the players, and the rules say "target multiple players" and if they don't, then it is ONE army, meaning one target anyway
