Random votes are designed to get the game going; rather than idly sitting around like you are, I try to move on people.hiphop wrote:Far_Cry and zwetschenwasser- What do you plan to gain by your votes? He hasn’t confirmed yet, so I doubt he even knew the game was up. I don’t see any reason for your vote. And you can’t say your votes are random, because your votes aren't.
Whoa, whoa. We're getting suspicious when the game hasn't even officially started????? This is ridiculous. We are random voting. I dont know how people can find scum so early.brothernature wrote:So when I vote for a person who already has a vote on him, it's suspicious, yet when zwetschenwasser does it, it's not? Why won't we just shut up and wait for the new replacement?zwetschenwasser wrote:

Yes I do think that. It's my opinion. Imo when two people vote for the same reason, the votes aren't random.zwetschenwasser wrote:

definition of the rvs found on wiki rvsbrothernature wrote:It's called the Random Voting Stage for a reason hiphop....
Your votes were not for silly reasons therefore the rvs is over.RVS: Random Voting Stage. Most Mafia games start with a phase wherein people vote for silly reasons, until someone slips up or makes a legitimate accusation.
Are you telling me that the rvs is not part of the game? If you think that why do you even random vote? Rvs is part of the game. The game has started.Far_Cry wrote: Whoa, whoa. I'm not. There's a difference between random voting and ACTUALLY getting suspicious.hiphop wrote:

From here:
1. It worries new players - Players who are new to the game often see random voting and do not understand the logic behind it, and subsequently make some very wrong assumptions--for instance: all random votes are truly random, logic is not necessary for the game of mafia, or that it is OK to cast a lynching vote at random.
IMO, your a newbie. What part of RANDOM don't you understand. So what if two people picked the same person? They both RANDOMLY picked him. It's the luck of the draw! Do. You. Under. Stand. Now?Yes I do think that. It's my opinion. Imo when two people vote for the same reason, the votes aren't random.-

Look at these posts, I can see how zwetschenwasser vote may be random, but Far_Cry is not. His post is like he copied zwetschenwasser and made a few changes, so that the words are not exactly the same. Having the same vote for different reasons could be random, but having the same vote for the same reason, is not random.Far_Cry wrote:unvote vote Xehdat..... waiting for him to confirm.
Don’t let me stop you, I was just pointing out non-random votes.Far_Cry wrote:Random votes are designed to get the game going; rather than idly sitting around like you are, I try to move on people.-

Completely different. Zwets's vote was for a late confirm. You switched your random vote to...another random vote but with one guy already on him?brothernature wrote:So when I vote for a person who already has a vote on him, it's suspicious, yet when zwetschenwasser does it, it's not? Hi guys, please note that I'm running on Australian time so my posting will seem a little all over the place. Chronologically speaking.
Vote: HiphopThere is nothing wrong with a few votes ending up on the same person. It's called pressure, it helps us find scum."Once you realize what a joke everything is, being The Comedian is the only thing that makes sense."-

hiphop: First, zwet made the second vote on Xehdat. Far_Cry made the first, then unvoted, and put his vote BACK on Xehdat. Second, your jumping to conclusions.
OneGunman: So are you telling me I'm not allowed to change my vote? At all? Okay then. Next time you change your vote, I'm gunna take it as a scumtell.
Both: Neither of those are scumtells. Just drop 'em.
From here.
I don't understand how you can think someone is scum within the first two pages. Honestly. At the beginning of a game of Mafia, there is very little information to be had. As a result, initial votes are made with no substantial reasoning offered.
You two are either thick-headed or newbies. I prefer to believe in humanity's intelligence and go with the latter. You can get more with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone

My intentions were not that the posts were scumtells, I wanted to see the reactions.
Lets the rvs continue.

The issue is not with changing your vote, the issue is primarily with changing your vote to someone who already has one in the RVS stage.brothernature wrote:hiphop: First, zwet made the second vote on Xehdat.
