I'm not interested in them right at the moment, I'm interested on you. My read on them isn't worth commenting on, but as long as they keep talking I keep taking notes.

My read on you on the other hand isn't quite as one sided. This is why I decided to poke you. I'm starting to notice a patter of focusing on insignificant details in what you call "scum hunting" which is going to lead you astray in a hurry. It reeks of "throw shit against the wall, see what stick" but I haven't decided whether or not you're doing it on purpose yet.

Keep talking, I need a better read on you.

be careful about lurker hunts in such a small setup. Everyone is minimally posting, and there's a good reason for some people to keep a low profile. We can't afford mislynches in a 7P setup.

I don't want to be replaced. I've had a rough couple of weeks personally, but I think I'm back on track now.

Generally speaking BN's play throughout D1 has been very ad-hom. He jumps at the chance to flame people whenever he can. He's apparently completely incapable of having a civilized conversation with anyone and his last post is proof of that.

That type of behavior is not just simply anti-town, it's scummy as hell. The over-defensive flamy posting style is always an excellent indicator.

zwet is a liability in every game he ever plays in. He's an automatic policy lynch in my book because of the fact that he purposefully cultivates his persona so that nobody can get an accurate read on him.

If mislynches weren't such a huge deal in a 7P setup I'd be pushing for his lynch too.

I haven't decided if his play is any scummier than usual yet. I need better reads on certain people before if I decide lynching him on policy is a safe bet or not.

I'll follow up with opinions on the rest of the players here after a quick reread.

@Baltar: I didn't realize I wasn't voting. I could swear I tossed a vote on him earlier but I guess it got missed.

At any rate with the lack of a counterclaim, along side the fact that nobody else is really pushing for his lynch I'm inclined to believe him.

A large part of my demotivation has to do with his presence in this game. I requested that this setup be run again and I was /in the game before he was. When I saw he signed up I asked him not to /in himself; however, he knows the mod IRL.

I just simply don't like him, for better or worse. He's an automatic policy lynch for me.

There's no reason other than meta that I prefer a zwet lynch to a hiphop lynch. My reads on hiphop are pretty null.

I actively dislike zwet, to the point that I don't really care if he flips town or not. He needs to be bounced out of this game.

I'm interested in hearing the investigation results only if one of 3 people were investigated:

Myself, hiphop or Baltar. Neither of the three of us were investigated we're going to need the cop another night, and nobody should claim.

I don't like that hiphop is skipping the claim order without a consensus on a claim. Not everyone has even chimed in yet, much less have we had any discussion about it.
hiphop wrote:Normally scum wouldn’t say that normally they wouldn’t vote this way when voting for their partner. Just curious Far_Cry if you are town, why wouldn’t you normally vote for someone who you think is suspicious?
This is piss poor and faulty logic. You're assuming too much and you're trying to game the scum. Stop it now.
hiphop wrote:Far_Cry was the first vote on zwet. If scum this is the ideal place if voting for buddy, because there isn’t a chance zwet would be lynched with only one vote. If zwet ever flipped scum, Far_Cry could come back and say, “Look I found him suspicious. I even voted for him.”
vote: Far_Cry
Far_Cry was not around when Hohum and Vp were changing their votes, so he didn’t have time to change his.

It is kind of funny being that Far_Cry and Zwet were the people involved in this post.
This just rubs me the wrong way. You're voting far_cry based on his position on the zwet wagon? Can you explain how this argument has any basis in reality please?
hiphop wrote:Another thing against Far_Cry, zwet found Far_Cry suspicious yet gave no reason or actions to why Far_Cry was suspicious. Putting buddy as being suspicious is done by lots of scum.
And this makes far_cry guilty because?

You have yet to demonstrate sound logic behind your vote.

FoS: hiphop

Why is it so logical that he's scum? Post a case please.

hiphop wrote:Why shouldn't scum put their partner on their suspicious list? [/quote[

Good question. Why don't you explain how you came to this conclusion? It seems to be based on the fact that zwet didn't really have a case, which is A) normal for zwet, B) a good way to pressure people.

You on the other hand have a bad case, which is by far worse than not having a case.

it doesn't make sense to me though, and you're going to need a consensus to bring a far_cry lynch about so "it makes sense to me" is not a valid argument.

You've pointedly refused to go into any details so far, you've only laid out your case from a 20,000 mile view.

Yes I would certainly rather you say "I don't know what to do next" if (by your own admission now) you're unsure of your case. That at least is the pro-town thing to do. Instead you'd rather manufacture suspicion.

Baltar: the only thing I picked up from yesterday about hiphop and zwet yesterday is that hiphop very early on was building a case on both zwet and far_cry.

So he's been on this kick for a while now. for him to have not much other than "HE'S SCUM LULZ TRUST ME GUYZ" means he's either trying too hard and coming up with nothing or he just doesn't know any better.

Evryone in thread at some point or another had some sort of negative interaction with zwet, so trying to extrapolate alignment based on his wagon won't be helpful.

look you're welcome to try and draw conclusions out of D1 if you want to but it's a mess to me. Perhaps your clarity of vision is better than mine. I'm open to suggestions right now. If you can convince me that something concrete can be extrapolated out of D1 then I'll go right along with you. In the mean time I'm going to try and generate fresh discussion.

Unvote, Vote VP

I don't like the fact that VP is actively shutting down potential wagons and he's had a full day now to deliver on the promise of an ISO analysis which he has yet to deliver on (though he has posted since he made that promise)

Seems like he'd rather stall the game rather than allow anyone to scum hunt.

Yes I've read it and you've also done scummy things since then.

Do you believe that you should be off the hook now just because someone failed at their attempts to pressure you? If so, why?

It seems we've switched roles. You're doing all the hardcore lurking and I'm trying to get a wagon going.

It's not so much that you won't join the wagon that bothers me it's that you're trying to actively discourage a hiphop wagon without providing sound reasoning or any of the ISO analysis you promised.

I am looking at content and context, and what I see so far is

A) Baltar opportunistically busing Zwet
B) Introducing diversion tactics. I've noticed you're the most vocal about the busing ploy. Trying to cover your tracks, mm?
C) Leading the town around all day long yesterday.
D) Proactively tearing wagons down.

You're also aligned against me on the far_cry case. My attempt to wagon hiphop at the beginning of the day was a bluff but hiphop should have been the one to call me on that, not you.

You're quite actively lurking. You have had 48 hours now to deliver on promised content. You better have written a novel by now.

The basis of Baltar's case seems to be that I'm attacking him, therefore I'm not scum hunting. His reaction to everything going on D2 so far has been OMGUSY and WIFOM.
ten bucks says he now attempts to call this OMGUS
I don't like the preemptive defense here. It is OMGUSy. I usually dismiss OMGUSy reactions as anti-town but the fact that you're aware that it's OMGUSy makes it a huge scum tell.

You also have yet to post the full ISO analysis that you've been promising since the weekend, and now you're all pissed off because someone called you on your bluff. It's a diversion tactic, designed to hide the fact that you really don't have a solid case on ANYONE right now.

I'm not ready to claim yet because I still have more to say; however I don't have time for a long and involved post at the moment.

I'm trying as hard as I can to not to drop this game for a second time, but I've gotten busy again this week. On top of a hectic work schedule, I'm also trying to adjust to a polyphasic sleep schedule so I'm barely even coherent at this point in time.

I pretty much already know who the cop is. I breadcrumbed it earlier.

I'd love to hear him claim though, to see if I am correct.

yep I was right.

And I'm sure your investigation result was a not guilty on brothernature, amiright?

Which narrows the pool down to hiphop (which is why I insisted on trying to get him to drop more tells, because I don't have a good read on him) and Baltar (who is intensely scummy looking to me right now)

P.S. I really wish you hadn't wasted your investigation on an uncounterclaimed doc. :(

@Far_Cry: you should at least wait for baltar to respond before you jump on hiphop for making the obvious choice.

Simply, the doctor's protect DOES NOT work on the cop.

Where did you get that idea from?

Should have been interpreted - Oh no, the scum targeted me. I will not take the doctor's help. I WILL GO DOWN WITH PRIDE.
This is quite incorrect. The mod is obviously not familiar with the setup.

Good game town.

I was distracted all game long. I hardly played as well as I could, and baltar saw right through me.

good job on the flawless victory.

You did, and I saw an opportunity to shut you down when it became apparent that far_cry fucked up the investigation but I couldn't capitalize on it.

The reason I didn't kill brothernature on N1 was because I knew a well-placed cop investigation could sink me, and I was aiming for the cop.

Last Man Standing (for those interested) is going to be a wild-west themed closed-setup full reveal 12P mini. I can't really go into detail but it has some pretty interesting mechanics. I think it's going to be an enjoyable game.

Last Man Standing (I'm still tweaking the flavor so this is a rough draft)

Synopsis:

The year is 1879. The height of westward expansion has reached its peak. Some citizens have taken up residence in a little desert stop-over which bodes a high paying, fast-paced life style; however, where there's money there's also questionable morales! A ruthless gang of Cowboys is trying to take over all your businesses and worst of all your sheriff is in on it.

It's up to you to take back what's yours, even if by force! Just try not to kill everyone else in the process.

I'm in line to mod now. At the current pace that the theme queue is filling it'll probably be 90 days before I get the opportunity :(
