Most of the time, yes. It depends on my role. I hate being scum. I went through a period last year when I kept drawing scum and it was awful. Luckily, that did not happen to me this game.

Thesp wrote:alexhans, what's so interesting about even numbers?
Well, even numbers are better for scum near lylo so town tends to nolynch to go into a more confortable lylo. That, of course, depends on the amount of killings and stuff but you'll probably never see a mountanious game day start with even numbers.

I have my own theories about what roles may be in this game but I've learned that setup speculation this early is pretty useless.

Also, I would like to issue a warning... I've come to realize that too much walls of posts hurt the town (To many of you this might be obv, but some may not think this way) so I encourage everyone to be active but also as brief and to the point as possible. We NEED to avoid fluff.

My dream game:

- no lurking
- no flaming
- equal contribution
- open mindedness
- fun
I'm back...

@Alex: Yeah. One thing I have learned from experience is whenever I play with Yos, he is scum. Better safe than sorry. Unless you have a better candidate?

@Claus: Clearly I do. The guy I'm voting is trying to pass of as one of the greatest marketing tools of all history.

Also, what happened to Yos in those games? Was he lynched? Why? Did he win? Don't you feel you know him enough to be able to read him a bit better?

Herodotus, what do you think of random voting?
In my first game, I tried to avoid it, but I have since been converted. I think it is useful not because person A random voting person B says much about players A or B, but because it gives other players the opportunity to place additional votes. These additional votes will carry slightly more weight than they would as first votes.

On a related note, I would have wanted to place a wagon vote on someone, but had no interest in the options available.

I'm sorry - I'm not as creative as I wish I could be. I had to come up with 19 questions! I think I had some overlap, too. Well, let's think - on a scale of 2 to 17, how crafty are you?
Claus wrote:No I'm not scum. How about you?
Nope. Kinda happy about it.
Claus wrote:Also, why are you not voting Yos?
This is an excellent question. I will get my crack team of investigators to find an answer to this, and report back when they've reached a consensus.
Claus wrote:Better question for thesp. You got two dayvigs that you must spend immediately. Who do you pick?
zu_Faul with both, because he's voting for me, and I'd want to make sure I get past any protection.

It's all charter's fault.

Not surprised Charter voted me, though. After all, Bird isn't in this game, Charter had to start off voting for me.

i have the most foolproof case ever assembled:

vote: charter

- failure to self-importantly announce "first post!" in the first post (keeping a low profile)
- evil laughter (being evil)
thesp wrote:roflcopter, what do you think of question-asking in general?
i'm generally more a fan of simply stating the fact that i've figured out someone is scum, voting them, and then encouraging others to do the same. i find the best use for question asking is ascertaining which players are most likely to be scum with my prime suspect.

thesp, do you think a (presumably) random vote which is made with no additional text whatsoever is more likely to come from scum or town?
soi soi soi

wins: open 69 (townie), mini 592 (sk), mini 617 (mafia rb), open 102 (mafia lover), crackers! (doctor), mini 712 (doctor), mini 715 (townie), mini 770 (inventor), lynch all lurkers (townie), mafia 100 (mason), space mafia (neighborizer)

Ever so slightly more likely to be scum, but the distinction (if any) is likely darn close to negligible, and I don't have anything to actually back that up besides a best guess, so I don't hold any weight to my own opinion. ;)

Town roles. As scum, I really worry about trying to not be scummy. Also, it's more fun to have an awesome case on a mafia member when I'm town than it is to have an awesome case that's a mislynch when I'm mafia.

Also, I think I'm a generally happy person. I'm pretty content right now. I just had breakfast.
