And it's quite laughable to say any bandwagon is "out of control" - players are quite aware of what they are doing.

Either say it's scummy or don't. Letting others do the work for you is scummy.

Plenty of experience here, but what's so suspicious about a bandwagon?

My B.

Proxies are a part of another site I play on where you can essentially "give" someone else your vote while you are away/letting the person in the best town standing decide. I made the comment that ZONEACE was leading us.

There you go, the "mysterious proxy comment" explained. Locke making mountains out of molehills noted.

raj, do you have a Big Three (TM) ready for us?

I am taking a reduction in games due to the job search becoming a real complication in my life.

I will finish my modding responsibilities for Newbie 809, and will also continue the game I have the most time invested into, Mafia 94, but am asking for replacement in all other games.

You aren't making enough to please the Family. You must be whacked.
So you're voting for a player who chose to make money instead of kill somebody last night?
And then raj confirmed it, but not before alko said it.

So, this is probably partly where the misunderstanding came from about earnings and jobs. I remember I just sort of assumed this was right because I didn't actually understand the earnings thing yet. (Yesterday I had several PM's with the mod trying to figure out how earning work... and am not even sure I understand all the special mechanics yet.)

The way I see it, there are two possibilities:

1)Alko thought listed earnings were only from jobs (which is what I assumed after reading his post and raj's confirming the job). Or some other misunderstanding which led him to think that raj took a job?

or

2)Alko
KNEW
raj did a job last night. If it's this -- how did alko know? This option naturally makes me suspicious of them. I guess there are roles besides scum that could communicate at night, but scum is a definite possibility.

ALKO -- please explain why you thought/knew raj did a job last night?
This is what we at Pack call a "HOLY CRAP!"

The way alko's post reads, I'm certain he knows raj took a job.

vote: raj
- this one's easy. We vote raj as earning little money seems suspicious and because of the alleged slip by al.

3)Raj suggests we claim if we did jobs last night.
We should not be claiming jobs.

And raj still hasn't given a Big Three, that I can see. rajscum.

Whoops, forgot to address the bolded:

If it turns out that the low man on the totem pole has to "kick up," then raj is a bit more verifiable. However, there still remains alko's post. One of the two need to die. Perhaps that is best left to the vig.

I think it's a slip.

Ha, I should try re-reading.
But also, players earn a base amount:
mod wrote:Profit - In addition to profit from jobs, players also earn a base amount of money each night based on their position within the organization. After each night is resolved, players will be notified how much total profit they have made so far. The top two earners as well as the bottom earner will be listed publicly. The rest of the rankings will be unknown.

So even if raj is like the lowest guy possible, could he have gotten his base salary and done a job, and still only made 3,000, even if we figure that he had to kick up money and his base might be low?
That's all
possible
, as I rarely like to play "outguess the mod." Doesn't make the interaction any less suspicious, imo.

zwet looking very Town here.

But, I think we're all a little confused. zwet is in the right that we don't know (or, the average player in this game doesn't know) the split between his profit from base, job, or action. I think he's wrong in thinking no one can make $0. I think ZONEACE and raj are in the wrong assuming the base is $0 for everyone (that's what I'm reading, right?)

These are all nulltells, for now.

As GG's he picks two players with anti-town play styles. I do not necessarily feel that they are scum this game (I feel neutral on them), but I would never put them down as my top two townies. For one thing, I don't know what they have done that is so pro-town, but also, it makes me worried that inhim is elevating these two players to town leaders.
Didn't mean to imply "top two townies" necessarily, just two players I feel really good about being GGs. I'll see if I have time for a full-blown list. SSK's vote of alko was great (even if slightly off-kilter), and zwet has seemed very aware of the game thus far.
elvis_knits wrote:Then the mneme thing is weird because it's just a straight agreement with lockelamora, with nothing else. No explanation or individual thought. and I think he's done that before this game (unless I am mixing up my memories of other game... we're in a few together right now).

Also, mneme comes out of nowhere as a suspect for me, so I don't really agree with it.
I'm riding some coattails here. LL made an excellent point concerning the suspicion mneme threw upon raj, and I agree. It seems like a very good path for the Day to travel down.

I'd be dishonest if I said my interests in the game were waning. When I make my checks throughout the site, this game is like the last or second to last thing I look at - if I don't have much time, then I don't post.

I don't want that to happen, as that's not being a good sport. I'll try and make a respectable player out of myself.

Not Voting (4) - inHimshallibe, Drench, Gorrad, killa seven

A game this size, seemingly multiple anti-Family agents, I think we start looking at the on-votes. If, and spitballing, there are five mafia, I'd guess something like 3-2 on-off split.
---------
I've already noted I don't like the raj-alko thing that happened earlier, and hey they're on here. I think SSK and zwet are town. CJ has a town claim.

Monkeyman/Prozac/SSF/elvis/ZONEACE/raj/alko
for me.

At least two scum - with such a safe lynch, I'd really bet three.
---------
Off-votes, particularly Not Voting:

Drench/Gorrad/killa seven
for me.

Hey, I'm voting killa seven. Lovely. I'll be moving to the on-votes now, though, with my most recent thoughts. I do need to look through Day One, again.
---------
Need a dead scum to really start to paint a picture.

Disregard the last line. I thought I was ready to vote someone else, and then realized I really should take a look back through what I missed in Day 1.

zoneace has been acting protown all day. granted i dont agree with his choices or methods. but hes attacking inhim who is think is anti town, ingame and inplay.

so i also chose an inhim strategy and post a small line saying that hes town.

but i really do think zoneace's best interest is in aligned with the town.
raj getting bonus points here.

ZONEACE - right now, you are not being even as helpful as zwet. Day 1, I also recall you picked a fight with hohum, who was Town, and picking fights definitely isn't helpful. I'm not voting you because the rest of your Day 1 was pretty good, as I noted at the time, but pushing the zwet lynch is not helping this game.

killa seven is avoiding accusations by just spouting questions back at his accusers. Vote stays.

I said I didn't like you? >.>

I liked your Day 1.

And you're playing two fiddles - you don't like zwet, and you accuse me of not liking you. Then you say "what a shame." Why should anyone care then about you not liking zwet - it really surprises you that you can't get the votes? Can't have it both ways.

And lol @ me being a zwetmate.

al_kohaulec being slow to come around to the vote is bad, bad, bad.

Believe it or not, I'm re-reading this. I'm sorry. Lots of sorriness here. : /
