Tajo, I don't like how forced ConsM's posts look. He doesn't seem to honestly believe anyone he pushes to be scum. He forced us out of the RVS while constantly saying that it was just to get out of the RVS. He said that it wasn't even a protown action, probably to cover his intentions of trying to look townie. And he said he was trying to look scummy which I think is playing the "oh look, I'm town" card a little too heavily. His criteria for lurkers gives him too much of an excuse not to scumhunt in other ways and is too calculated for us to draw opinions from after he flips if he is scum. And his vote is jumping around every time he has a new "lurker". It's like he's voting for pressure, but as soon as someone responds and he has a new lurker, the vote moves. I don't like the way he seems to have the game planned rather than trying to do things based on in thread actions. Town has no reason for a calculated way to vote or find lurkers. Scum does.

I'm in an ongoing game with Mastin. He has died and flipped town. I don't see a similarity in the forced and calculated nature of his play.

kay, i just wanted to know that Mastin belongs to a group of players that is inherently scummy to the average mafia player regardless of alignment. The ongoing game is a good example of this.

In this game, Im heavily defending Mastin based in a game we were both town, in an ongoing he already came up town and in lal, where he was scum. The differences from my pov are pretty evident, which is why its very likely that mastin is prob town here and its my responsibility to bring this evidence to have a potent perspective of his behavior.

This was also the basic reason why kmd being boosted is bothering me because Kmd also knows how verbal and sloppy Mastin is as town.

But as I said, I can understand why you got that impression. Im explaining you the difference since I thought it was kinda obvious. I admit I was wrong.

The mechanics of LAL mean a faster game and make Mastin's poststyle near impossible to imitate. It's not a fair comparison.

You would expect a very happy Mastin, wouldnt you? In the qt, I even said Mastin that Xyl knew his meta as town was to be very verbal and that he had to post something with content soon. (he was active lurking)

What exactly makes you think that ConsM is townie? I understand boosting KMD and Papa Zito, but I think ConsM has been more destructive to the town than beneficial. And Zwet really hasn't contributed much to the game. :\

Content really doesn't matter when it comes to ConsM in this game. I have, in fact given up reading his posts word to word after about one or two long posts of his. There are a lot of other factors, the tone of the post, the reactions to other posters, the perceived sincerity of the poster, the general timing of the posts etc.

Scum can imitate town when it comes to saying stuff (s)he would have said as town, but there are a lot of other things -- which take place on the subconscious level -- that normal scum aren't able to imitate from their townie play.

So you are asking me what? If scum can imitate town play? I agree with SirT that certain aspects can be imitated. For example, if I think that people's idea of me as town (this is a 100% made up tell on me by the way) is that I look at 3-4 people in the first few pages, latch on to one, push their lynch, and pick another of those people for the next day, I can very easily just do that as scum. Something more subtle, or something that I am unaware of, is something I wouldn't be able to imitate. I assume that applies for most people.

I also agree that scum, especially experienced ones, can get very better at faking town behavior. There are some things, though, that cant be totally imitated (subconscious things for example) and its a good asumption to make that a relative newb like Mastin its less likely to imitate this protown behavior as scum.

Lets make this simple. I have meta that shows Mastinscum gets very paranoid as scum, active lurks and doesnt scumhunt. I have meta that show Mastintown gets very verbal as town, scumhunts with different results but scumhunts.
