'Ello, one'n'all, an' welcome to Foggy Londontown, 'ome of the bloody greatest folks you're likely to ever meet combined with some of the worst attempted cockney accents.

It was all "Cheeri-o" and "Top o' the marnin' to ya" until recently, when some folks started coming back from the market with 'orror stories about werewolves and evil men and Irish sayings mixed in with the English. You were content to all become shut-ins until little Timmy Englishlastname turned up dead in the town square, and now it looks like just sleepin' in yer homes won't be enough to save you from the ills that have befallen your idyllic - if foggy - little town.

Your mission, should ya choose to accept it: Root out all the evil plaguing your town before there's no one left to remember why on earth you didn't just stop at "London."

I see that Tenchi and Lowell have posted here, and Lowell your weekend V/LA is noted. Neferenom has not responded here or to me and if that is still true at the end of the day I'll begin the process of replacing him.

Also: Do people have a preference between the posts like this and the edited-in vote counts at the top of the page? I've been doing a combination, obviously, but I'm open to switching to one style or the other on a permanent basis. "I'm afraid that ThAdmiral, our town's doctor, is no longer with us," the town crier says mournfully.

"Oh my," says the town crier.

Indeed, the scene at Hero's is worthy of that sentiment: blood, entrails, and tatters of clothing lie everywhere, around the all-but-picked-clean bones of his hapless corpse. Mokina's eyes fill, brim, and spill over. She takes a few deep breaths.

"He was my

," she says quietly. "Without him, I will not go on." With great speed, she produces a small vial and quaffs it before anybody can think to even attempt and restrain her. She crumples to the ground, where the town crier leans over and announces that she is not breathing. Fortunately, unlike in Romeo and Juliet, there appears to be little chance that her lover will re-awaken from his sleep.

Somberly, the town reconvenes, hellbent on justice.

: I agree with the prevailing opinion that replacing dank with somebody who would have to catch up would be less useful than just extending the deadline once he returns. However, Nikanor sent me a PM and presents a third option: replacing him back in in dank's spot. On principle, I'd generally rather avoid that situation, but he's read the whole game and would be available to contribute to the discussion right now. I'll leave it up to a group consensus here, unless somebody feels really really strongly against it.

The current deadline is what the deadline would be if dank were not V/LA or going to be replaced. If we decide to keep him I'll adjust it appropriately, but it won't be later than September 8th.
