Who do I find scummy? Mufasa is probably the main guy.

Okay, I'll bite. I'll boost every 6th person:

Boost:Papa Zito
Boost:Cateraction
Boost:Sajin

I don't know who looks pro-town now really.

By making it patterned, you know I'm not a scum boosting his buddies. It's the only way of doing things that is unbiased.

Bandwagon much? Especially after we JUST called Mufasa out 4 that same exact reasoning?

Yea...huge FoS right there.
KMD wrote:You are seriously asking me why it's protown to get out of the RVS?
Yea. i fail 2 see how--scum want the game 2 get started as much as town do.

Making it a null tell.
Well, it starts the actual game.
So? Scum want that, 2.
It gets real discussion going.
Scum want that as well. No point in playing, otherwise.
We can start to scumhunt.
If we didn't, we might as well just slit our own wrists and let the mafia win.
Starting to scum hunt isn't pro-town. It's a null tell; scum want it as well, 4 y play in a game where nobody is trying 2 win?
And if we never did it, we'd be jokelynching which is something we wouldn't want.
Again, scum don't want 2 play that way. It'd be an empty victory.
So yeah. It's protown to get out of the RVS.
Again, i still fail 2 see y scum would NOT want us out of the RVS any more than town would.

So, no, not pro-town; null.
Note that I am not saying it's protown to do something weird and say "K, now we're out of the RVS" or to do something scummy to "get reactions" to get us out of the RVS.
i fail 2 see the difference--it has the same outcome.
The best way to get out of the RVS is to draw attention to a serious point.
Like lurking, voting no lynch, etc.

They can b seen as a serious point.
Basically, my issue is that you did something just to appear protown
No, i did it 2 get us out of the RVS.
and you went out of your way to make sure we knew you were doing it.
Duh. i went out of my way to make sure ppl knew i was trying to kill the RVS. It's a null tell; y make so much of it?
"Oh, I'm an honest townie. I just want to play the game."
1: Rolefishing. "townie" is a role.
2: i'm bing honest, and want 2 play the game.
So what?
Doesn't mean nething towards my alignment.
Um...what?

Why would you WANT to look bad..
Bcause i'm a jester.

Seriously, tho, i just want 2 get discussion going. Looking bad does that nicely.
And if that's the case, why are you defending yourself so much?
Eh, no longer necessary 2 look bad. Mission accomplished; now i defend myself.
Why ARE you witholding it?
Reactions, of course.
i want 2 see what others think of it.

Y no vote?

U fail 2 answer my lurking accusations, Semioldguy.
Zito wrote:So in Boost 1, the town power roles and the mafia would start out with a one-shot power.
Refresh my memory and show me where it says this in Boost 1. i thought many had more than one shot 2 start out with. :/
KMD wrote:Are you saying that whatever Semi says, you'll be ok with his answers?
If he answers my concerns, then he's no longer suspicious.
If he answers it, but I still have concern over him, then Mufasa will be spared until i am no longer concerned about Semi.

Don't see the problem with that.
Answering a post, even all of the points in it != answering concern.

That's not necessarily true as you could have chosen a pattern that benefited your buddies instead of a pattern that didn't.

I'm not worried, it's just that if I do anything now it's questioned, so I might as well do things fair and square. Are you saying you wouldn't have said the same thing if I boosted three players of my choice?

NOTE: Also, am I able to edit a post, as it's much easier than waiting for someone to reply and then post.

I didn't answer your lurking accusations because they were already addressed and I thought the accusation was baseless to begin with. I am in seven games (six as of a couple hours ago). Not every time I am logged into the site am I able to update in every game.

Consume wrote:Yea. i fail 2 see how--scum want the game 2 get started as much as town do.
Scum would absolutely love it if the game wasn't serious yet and there was a deadline in 2 days. They'd also love it if there was a lynch in the RVS that didn't implicate them. Do you disagree?
M wrote:If we didn't, we might as well just slit our own wrists and let the mafia win.

Meh. Depends on playstyle. Players like myself like to control a game as scum, so scumhunting being around doesn't threaten them. Some players go through the game being worried about being suspected. Those players don't like to see a lot of scumhunting. But still, most scum would love it if a lynch happened without any real scumhunting going on.
ConsM wrote:Again, scum don't want 2 play that way. It'd be an empty victory.
Play to win. Breaking a setup as town isn't an empty victory, is it?
ConsM wrote:Like lurking, voting no lynch, etc.

They can b seen as a serious point.
Yeah, if someone does that, you lay a serious vote, wait for their defense, discuss it, guage everyone else's reactions, and you have a mafia game.
ConsM wrote:1: Rolefishing. "townie" is a role.
>.<

I just got done playing a game on SA. On SA, "townie" is commonly used to describe any town aligned player. I didn't mean "townie" as in a vanilla.

Hmm. Ok. I read "answers" as "responds to". Misinterpreted it I guess.

No. I wouldn't have said a thing if you said "X, Y, and Z are protown" and boosted them. I may have asked "Why is Y protown?" or something, but it wouldn't have looked bad.

No, you can't edit. You don't have to wait for replies though.

^^ Theory discussion isn't helping catch scum.

We need to fill up the Mufasa wagon.

To answer ConsonantM's question:
Patrick in Boost 1 wrote:
Doctor wrote: You start the game with a sprig of a very rare herb, which has extraordinary healing powers. Once during the game, at night, you may choose another player; they will be immune to all nightkills that night.

You win when all anti-town roles are eliminated.

Note: turns into full doctor if boosted. If boosted twice, he can also self protect once.
Vigilante wrote: You begin this game with a gun and one bullet. You may use it on another player during the night, if you so wish.

You win when all anti-town roles are eliminated.

Note: Becomes a full vig when boosted. If boosted twice, he is unightkillable on any night when he doesn't kill.
They didn't all work this way, but most worked like this or something similar.

I'm only getting the hang of this now. My 2nd game.

Hmm, I see Consonant's suspicions list, and while I can sort of see why he'd vote for me, I don't see why semioldguy is mafia. Him participating in other games doesn't make him a lurker. That is a nulltell.

What is the point of bandwagoning me ? I see all of your points of why my reasoning to vote Mastin was terrible and I'll see what I can gather from his posts from now on just will take some extra time.
