yer that faked PR was pretty stupid, you should have just saved it for when you next mod a game and given it to someone else instead of trying to enact it artificially as town.

made his votes impossible to analyze (independent of all other gameplay). If DGB hadn't told me who the scum were after I died, I would have been pushing for Xyl's lynch straight into the end game. Uh, oops.

If you read the Mason QT, as you can see, I tried to revive it, but ironically only SSK was helping me out. Steph was completely absent, which frustrated me, and was why I thought he was scum.

Although I had a long and illustrious career int his game, man it was a hoot to watch.

After I died reading up when it was first brought up that chances were this is a secret vanilla game everything clicked and WOOSH.

Although this still holds strong to my hypothesis that masons are, in fact, scum. They just dont know it.

That was an amazing recovery considering the back-to-back kamakaze towns we had when I was but a lad.

No scum QT?

Uh, yeh, this is a complete misrepresentation. I simply told him he was being double standard. I didn't ask him to rant at SSK.

Good game, everyone. Very interesting how it played out...

When I balanced the setup, I was kind of assuming that at least a couple of townies would lurk and then get lynched for it, and gave the town a couple of extra townies to compensate for that. It's kind of amazing that there was absolutly no lurking at all in this game, except for one time when one scum accidently went 72 hours without posting; I can't remember another game in mafiascum history with no lurkers and no flakers at all. I think we may have just found the solution to lurking.

On a side note, I'm not really sure why there was so much paranoia about the masons. I mean, they WERE masons. Just because I wasn't going to 100% guarentee that there wasn't a scum mason? I mean, if you're a cop, do you freak out if the mod won't send you a PM 100% guarenteeing that you're sane?

Or is the meta on masons really just that screwed up these days? Anyway, I think the mason-hood did at least prevent mafiaSSK from being lynched, so it wasn't totally useless; plus, I made them daymasons, thinking that if one of them forgot to post, his buddies could PM him.

(Also, I really didn't get the Malyss lynch day 1; she started out a little nervous, then when pressure to scumhunt, she correctly figured out that anti-hero was scum and voted him, and she was somehow instantly lynched for it. Bah, lynching the mod's fiancee on day 1 when she's a townie should be a modkillable offense.

)

Anyway, very enjoyable game to watch. I'm not 100% sure if it was balanced or not, or if the town was just really, really good; I'm leaning towards the town just being really good here, especally with the amazing fact that no one lurked at all. Also, thank you so much for the excellent co-modding Ether; she was so on the ball that every time I checked the game and started to make a vote-count, I saw she had already done it.

Terrible assumption, Yos. After WIH2, which had a pretty similar player list, it was pretty clear that no one would lurk. You even said this to me once:

I like how a couple of my early votes worried the scum enough to discuss in thread. I'd forgotten that my vote on not-zwet was on tajo. I was wrong, but I was still right!

Scum apparently thought I was going to be an easy lynch. Hehehehe. I've only ever been lynched once on mafiascum. (War in Heaven doesn't count.)
