The interesting point is that all three vanilla townies are on pop, and the power roles are split on vanilla townies. That is what is making me hesitate so much.

I've already made my case on tajo yesterday. If anyone wants me to repeat it in
BIG BOLD LETTERS
just ask. (Summary: His claim is totally unbelievable, and has been since day 1. Full stop.)

I'm more agreeing with what tajo said than putting faith in Empking. And I don't for one minute believe all of those vanilla claims are legit.

There's been a tendency recently for games with interesting special mechanics to be vanilla or near-vanilla (e.g. Suicide Bomber Mafia, which had no power roles at all). I don't think the lack of power roles is a good argument here.

stephoscope look at the DEAD PLAYERS LIST and then try to chant to yourself again that all our vanilla claims are implausible

That is only because I called Empking out pre-emptively before Empking was able to add his opportunistic vote to tajo's opportunistic vote on the terrible wagon on me started by MafiaSSK. Yesterday the two were voting for the same person (and again preventing us lynching tajo-scum). Also note that tajo changed his vote from Xyl to me for no valid reason except that he now had a probable (if "misguided") townie now voting for me.

Do you really think tajo is that selfish and bad a player as town to claim tracker day one under no pressure and remain a very strong liability for the town for the entire game and continually oppose his lynch which gives us much needed setup information? No. He is scum. Lynch the scum please.

Hmm, this is fishy. You're talking like you're sure the other "vanillas" are on your side. And I didn't suggest *all* those claims were implausible, just that there was likely to be scum in the bunch.

Considering that the most likely scumteam is populartajo+Empking, it's not that fishy.

Do you really think that Yosarian2 wouldn't run a setup which had nothing but vanilla townies and unconfirmed masons?

it seems the masons are cooperating for the first time ever this game, only to all be using craplogick to attack the wrong people

I haven't voted yet, and I'm still leaning toward voting pop, but I want to be sure of myself before I do so since I feel like the timing of my vote is placing a high degree of leverage on it and I'm uncomfortable making a willy nilly choice here.

Because it is sort of LyLo, and it is still an important lynch, and I want to make sure that I've got as good a grasp of what the outcomes of the lynch are and am prepared to defend myself if a make a mistake.

If I nail scum, it won't matter how long it took me to make a decision.

If I mislynch though, it will matter a lot more, at least to me. Of course, you can make an argument that being sure is scummy (He's just being careful not to slip up, etc) so its a null tell as far as you're concerned, or WiFoM at best, but to me it is important and I don't want to be rushed.

Also: if we mislynch here with 3 scum alive, it is game over for the town unless we quick lynch someone. If all three scum are allowed to lurk during the second lynch, even if we nail one of them, the other two will be able to NK and end the game.

So that is very important to keep in mind.

I'm pretty sure we started with no more than 4 scum. The claimed power roles simply aren't enough to balance the game against 5 scum with double days.
