How exactly does it save town to speculate on our roles? At the very best, we could use a protective role to save a powerful role while scum kills the next best. That's not helpful for town. Very useful for scum though.

e hasn't spotted anything particularly useful. The claim idea is suspicious, but not worth a vote, since he didn't push the situation. For those with even less content than me, no read/gut/whatever.

On the more active players (based on one-player threads):

Sudo: I've seen him staying focused to the points in discussion, which gives him protown points. However, he's had his vote on ortolan for quite some time but I don't see him asking any important questions, which strikes me as odd right now.

orto: discussing a lot with Sudo, voted me in 59, asked me in 109/110 then asks me about my unvote and then kindly reminds everyone that my lynch is more important (without giving any further reason to do so).

KMD: his attention is all over the place, questioning more than two players in D1, which is protown in my book (at this moment)

Don't have much time to carefully read the other threads (but I will do). Having read only these threads and without a proper reread of the whole game in one sit, orto stands as the scummier right now.

1) My vote was not OMGUS

2) OMGUS has never been established as a scum-tell

3) You could not even clearly conclude that my second vote, that for Sudo_Nym; was not merely an extension of the random voting phase (although it happens not to be).

Sudo, you responded in post 51 to Bear (Orto). In post 54, with two posts between in which one votes Mixo, and the other responds to Bear, you agree with post 53. In this post, you vote Bear again.
So why did you (re-)vote in post 54, and not in post 51?

Regarding Andy's vote against Orto, can you rephrase this part of your explanation:

Oh I see now. Here's what I meant: I didn't know whether your post was serious or not, but I assumed not, since we were already discussing meatier events. However, You were making a very weird statement (vouching for his towniness). Since we were already discussing non-jokes I read it as stalling other discussions.

I undertook a course of behaviour which is nonsensical, but not clearly pro-town or pro-scum- calling for quicklynches of random players is inherently neutral and, probabilistically, is as likely to hit scum as any other form of non-specific pressure.

I don't like this, as it gives him an excuse to not give us a read on his allignment.
It also sounds like a trap.

Sudo_Nym's reaction is a predictable OMGUS but his reaction in 54 is nonsensical. Someone being "deliberately scummy" (although I actually disagree with this characterisation itself) is very rarely a good reason to lynch them.

If you haven't explained this yet, why?

Post 66 bothers me a lot. This is luckily questioned and Starbuck later gives some explanations:

Ok, but why specifically did you suggest Empking? Why didn't you instead say "shouldn't we be looking at Goat? or "shouldn't we be looking at KMD?" What made you pull Empking out of the pack?

Because Emp was the other person recently being discussed.

The reason why this bothers me, is because she doesn't ask why. She saw two players being discussed, asked why not that one instead of him and that's it. Yet, for somebody who doesn't know how the players here play as scum or town (as she stated), I'd expect that she'd ask why Bear and Empking were being discussed. So Starbuck, why's that?

I'll admit, hypocrisy is not the biggest tell in the book, but it can certainly be reflective of scum. Townies act in a way they deem to benefit the town. So they have little reason to accuse others of being scum for acting in that same manner (a manner they consider pro-town). On the other hand, scum are acting to benefit their nefarious ends, and will sometimes demonstrate hypocrisy in attacking something that they themselves are guilty of, for a variety of reasons (as a reason to join a wagon, because they weren't at their "towniest" at some point).

When I posted I had orangepenguin and Mix, and it seemed like it was added up a lot of votes with just no reason at all behind them.
