Technically, I didn't do this. I begged everyone not to lynch MafiaSSK, and then claimed Daymason. Everyone can draw his or her own conclusions.

I am a Daymason, and I know with 100% certainty that MafiaSSK is town-aligned.

I cannot confirm or deny how much your PM looks like the one I received, but yes, "you" being interpreted as plural in the win condition (vs. a switch to singular or arbitrary) is the exact source of the disconnect between my earlier confidence and later confusion/hesitation to answer.

First of all, if Steph were a scum mason he would not be so sure about SSK being town for belonging to the masonry.

Second, all the confusion regarding mason=town is difficult to fake if he indeed were a scum mason.

Finally, this implies that Steph has a protown mason role and that he didnt even think about masons being scum.

Therefore, of all the masons, Steph is the most confirmed of all. I doubt both Kin and SSK are scum, so one of them has to start to make sense right now.

The presence of a scum in the masonry also could explain why none of the masons is dead yet even when they claimed early.

Tajo: okay, here's a complete list

Tajo - scum
Empking - scum
Stephoscope - town. All 3 masons scum is farfetched. If 1 mason is scum that makes their buddy elvis and/or ortolan and I don't believe that. His play seems town.
Kinetic - town. See steph but play is neutral.
Mafiassk - town. His play is worst of the masons. Unfortunately faking a PR is something I believe he'd do as town, although letting a PR faker live seriously galls me.
Elvis - town. Good play. I haven't seen anything noticebly scummy all game.
Ortolan - neutral leaning town. Interactions with known scum suggest towniness, but I've been fooled by bussing before. Overall play seems restrained, which keeps me from considering him full town.

I would have enjoyed playing as a mason a lot if we were all confirmed, which I absolutely thought we were. And, while MafiaSSK's play was infuriating, at least it helped confirm me to whatever extent. I never ever would have come forward about my role if he hadn't gotten himself into trouble.

For the record, I was thanked with a "Stethy you suck" reply from SSK in the quicktopic. And you all wonder why I have no desire to work with these people

I didn't say more restrained than usual; this could be (afaik, is) your normal playstyle. I just find restrained play harder to read, so I mark it as automatically scummy.

If it's a 2 player scumteam it's Tajo+Empking or MafiaSSK+ortolan, with my money on the first. Outside chance of Tajo+ortolan.

If it's a 3 player scumteam it's Tajo+Empking+ortolan.

Other possibilities are negligible. (From my POV anyways. I think there's a few scumteams involving me, if you think I might scum, but I don't have any reason to work them out.)

as far as I'm aware I attacked tajo heavily on day one after/before he claimed tracker, and was first to vote him on day two. He then claimed to be roleblocked, and suggested I set him up. I have never wavered in finding him suspicious the whole time, and was more than happy to join his wagon.

And as far as I'm aware I started the whole scrutinisation of Empking? I do not see where your reads are coming from. Objectively, your positing of me being in a scumteam with tajo/Empking seems rather absurd.

What reasons do you have which override these?

The only reason I can think of why you'd worry about being in third place is if you think tajo is going to come up town... but you're voting tajo so that doesn't seem likely.

In mini 551 which I played in SensFan faked a PR. He was scum.

In relative chaos which I modded Natirasha faked a PR. She was scum.

In MS3 which I played in a townie faked a PR to try to attract FOS's, and gave it up very quickly

So far my experience is that people who fake PRs are overwhelmingly likely to be scum, especially if they don't have a role reason to do so

Actually I misread this the first time, your first scenario isn't really scummy- I have been defending MafiaSSK so it is plausible I am scum with him, or else tajo and Empking are scum with one another.

Your second scenario is nonsensical though, you go from claiming I am mutually exclusive scum with tajo and Empking to saying if there is a 3-man scumteam I am scum with them. This means if tajo and Empking do flip scum, and the game isn't over, you'll try to get me lynched next (despite me attacking those two the hardest of anyone all game). This makes me think you, rather than Kinetic, may be scum with them, but I need to re-read.
