The scene is finally done!

I'll now start doing stuff for the next round, such as actually reading your actions. Will edit this post with all those who haven't sent me anything, yet.

Edit: A lot more than I expected:
Nephenee
,
Keiichiro
,
Hans
,
Reginald
, Steak,
Durran
,
Red
, Kyriake,
Naryx
, and
Lynn
.

As much as I'd like to hope everyone's reading the flavor as closely as I do, I'm pretty sure that's not happening. So, much as I hate to bring this up...
However, the guests had realized the disadvantage the great beast was under; unable to move, he couldn't attack them if they stayed out of reach. Wisely, they had started taking out the immediate threat of the hellhounds. All of the straining at the boundaries of the dimension hole with all the force in the universe would still do nothing, and Cerberus possessed considerably less might than that. He was stuck and very obviously not happy about that.
If I know
anything
about this type of thing, and I do, that means Cerby's going to get out. And it'll probably be soon.

I don't think we can do much to stop it yet, and the damn thing seems to want my flesh so I really can't try to attack it, but its probably something that we should be aware of. This isn't going to be a cake walk once the hounds go down.

Anyway, for those who still have to send in actions (Nephenee, Hans, Steak, Durran, Red, Kyriake and Naryx), here's the list of what other people are doing, with mine added.

Cerberus - 184 Energy

Hellhound F - 50 Energy
cry- 40
A_Squi- 30

Hellhound G - 55 Energy
Teal- 40

Hellhound H - 15 Energy
chen- blast 5, 15
No more attackers please.

Hellhound I - 9 Energy
Ani- 18.
No more attackers please.

Hellhound J - 40 Energy
A_Squi- 30
Korts- 10
evilmatt- 25

You're all smart people, you can do the math to figure out how much more you need for a guarnteed KO. Anyway, carry on.

I think the howl was our punishment for not attacking Cerbi. What do you guys think about me attacking him this round? I do have defensive powers and I might be able to keep him busy while you guys do your thing.
Armageddon screams are nothing new to me.

Well, you could, but whenever you manage to damage him, his howl can hit us all back.

Of course, we'll need to do
something
about him eventually.

We need to play this like a game of Connect 4 (I know, right? Sounds fun and easy!); basically, most games of Connect 4 that I play end up with the loser forced into a lose-lose situation. You play with two strategies in mind, while making one more obvious than the other. Force your opponent to deal with the perceived threat, and then, when you're ready, reveal the other. Suddenly, he's looking at two endgame moves, and he can only block one.
How do we do this? Two words: Venomous Quills. At first, I thought the key to winning this was to bank on Cerberus' immobile nature and just spam him with the quills until his poison overtakes his powers and he croaks. The nearly negligible 1 point of damage per poison negates the threat of his howl, and he can't attack us. However, Cerby is able to defend against the quills specifically. That's why the Quills will be a distraction only. We make it out to clear out the hellhounds, and then sit back while Durran pelts Cerby with quills, seemingly afraid to attack. We sit on our defenses, and don't let his howl scratch us.
But then -- when Cerberus realizes that he can defend against the quills, and that his howl is useless because we won't attack, we nail him for everything we have. We absolutely maximize our damage against him.
As long as Cerby defends against the quills, it will be spending 30 energy merely on our distraction. That leaves it with 150 to defend with, which means we won't get a killing blow on the first try, but as long as it falls for this gambit, we'll have it on the ropes and not have to worry about that power.

And if we really want to get tricky, the girl who can mimic powers could add to the Quill barrage-once we get to that part of course.

You know, all sudden like.

Forgot about her. She needs to copy his power and use it every turn with him. That'll even our our chances.

Except for when he keeps editing his posts and putting that sentence in there.

I'll attack G for 60, H for 10, and defend for the rest, should have been sent in a while ago but didn't go through.

I think I found a suitable battle music for this Rumble: This!

Also, bump for the last two people to send actions.

Cerberus - 184 Energy

Hellhound F - 50 Energy
cry- 40
A_Squi- 30

Hellhound G - 55 Energy
Teal- 40
Hybris-60
Likely dead now.

Hellhound H - 15 Energy
chen- blast 5, 15
No more attackers please.

Hellhound I - 9 Energy
Ani- 18.
No more attackers please.

Hellhound J - 40 Energy
A_Squi- 30
Korts- 10
evilmatt- 25
Hybris- 10
Likely dead now.

This is how we stand now. This round should be very interesting. If we get lucky, 4 hounds die.

Also, I coulda sworn we figured out who Cybele was in the first two pages, but those edits messed everything up.

Correct.
(Do you know why?) I'll PM you later.
Thank you for playing everyone!
Upon trying to re-educate myself on some Irish mythology (it's a thing of mine) I felt like an idiot upon feeling surprised that Macha is (presumably) the patron of Armagh (In Irish: Ard Macha).

Which Macha were you thinking of, seeing as there are a number of them? (Please not the one who cursed Ulster and messed up Táin Bó Cúailnge!!)
I lost the game.
