The day ends almost as quickly as it began. Hoopla and geraintm chase down SK. He runs and screams "I'M A DOCTOR FOOLS!" Hoopla and geraintm start to catch up to SK. He says, "Ok. You caught me. Kill me gently... Actually. Give me some pop rocks and soda. I'll do it."

He throws the pop rocks and the soda into his mouth. There is some loud popping, and SK dies.

Wow, I was actually kind of expecting to die last night. I guess this is where the wifom games start to happen. I don't remember Zazie outwardly expressing any suspicion of Shanba yesterday, so if he were scum it would be in his interest to keep her alive.

On the other hand, I have the lingering feeling Shanba could be stringing me along. I definitely need a reread though with the knowledge shadow is scum. I hope it goes without saying, no voting yet in lylo please!

I've already stated my opinion on geraintm - I think he is scum.

What will happen today is that Hoopla will reread and come back uncertain. Geraintm will come back to assert that I am scum. I will reread and come back with something like "there's no way that Hoopla is scum, and geraintm looks scummier and scummier the more I observe him". And we will crossvote.

hoopla, to answer yor question, i thought you were going to die last night.

shanba, i did resond to your post where you accused me, but you then disappeared for the rest of the day (whilst posting elsewhere) so when you say now i just went and shrugged it off (as you did on the 28th) that just isnt true, i was here ready to respond but you didn't give me naything else to respond too.

you say i look the scummiest, and i do now that hoopla is confirmed, but you have been looking awful for a while now.

your post yesterday where you didn't want to lynch shadow and instead me...you said back then you didn't want to elaborate but you care to do that now? you want to explain your thinking which makes no sense to me? didn't yesterday, doesn't today.

i've just gone back over your posts, i am shocked how out of the game you have been. your vote today is your second in the game. you didn't vote for panzer or shadow. considering your opinion of panzer on the 21st " I am struggling to find a situation in which Panzer is not scum." and yet you still didn't go and vote for him? you also defend shadow in that post, and then start looking for attacks on me at that early stage. were you playing the long game for the final day showdown that long ago? you even ended that big post, the same post wehre you said panzer was scum and shadow wasn't by saying i topped your scum list...and you still didnt vote for me.

i dunno, i know you are scum, but you've been good, stayed well out of the big arguments and got to a 50/50 now. i've got no proof for hoopla, no way of showing him that he should vote for you, just he has to.

I've done my reading and have elected my kill choice. I don't think my mind will change that much regardless of how much questioning I do now, but I'm 70% sure Shanba is scum to wrap up a neat town comeback.

If I can be bothered I'll post some detailed reasons why I came to this decision in the postgame.

quick thoughts before you all jump in, i was feeling very dispondent with this game, thought we had thrown this away from a good posistion.

i think hoopla at some point on day 2 had mentioned all of me, panzer and shadow as scum, i thought we were gone. and once the mass claim came in, that was disastrous.
i think the only way the game was saved for scum was shanba's post where he didn't want to lynch shadow. i have no idea why, but that post made him look potentially scummy and i had to attack him over that.

killed zazie on the last night, had to keep shanba alive and i think i went with hoopla over zazie because it wasn't quiet the expected thing, needed to make things less obvious to hopefully confuse the two who were left.

Wow, I thought for sure we were dead. Thank you to geraintm for keeping it together even through my impromptu idea of confusion. I knew shanba was on board with me being town and I really *did* think that charter investigated hoopla, so I had to attack zazie. I wasn't expecting hoopla to get zazie's back so strongly though.

Gerain did an excellent job bringing it home. Mafia MVP all the way.

Some notes:

Panzer's start to the game would have confused me if I was playing. It was definitely interesting.

Shadow Knight's change in his claim made him obviously scum.

Zazie was dead on talking on AIM. I couldn't respond when she'd talk about the game, but she called out Panzer and SK as scum. She got geraintm over Shanba as scum after she had died.

Charter came to me about the balance of the game. I couldn't comment as he was still alive, but I'd like to know what everyone thought. Was the paranoid cop/miller/ sane cop combo too much against the town? The JOAT/sane cop/town RB combo was pretty powerful, so I figured that could counter that a little. I also like to use a RB instead of a doc. Thoughts on that? It came down to 3 player LYLO, so I like to think it was balanced. I was actually getting worried that scum were going to run away with it until Panzer was lynched.

geraintm gets MVP because scum won and he looked pretty protown to me.

Mod errors:
I made a small error in SK's Role PM too. I listed geraintm and SK as scum partners instead of geraintm and Panzer. He PM'd me asking about that, so it ended up being ok.

I forgot to put a link to the game in my Role PMs. Everyone got here ok though.

The vanilla PM thing. I should have put the vanilla PM in the rules from the very beginning. That may have hurt scum a little.

yes, lets just say having come from a game where he had self hammered, i was feeling quiet exasperated with him, i wasn't faking it

i felt like i played this fairly similar to my normal town way, i am always very cautious voting cause i've worked out i am quiet bad with finding scum. i got called out as scum a few times by a few different people, not sure if that was because i did look scummy or because others looked less scummy.

game seemed fair. part of my final choice of kill was because i feared a doc protection on the obvious kill of hoopla

For my part, I figured the doc claim was the only thing that could possibly save me. I figured I was dead regardless, so I might was well give it a last ditch effort and when that failed, I would at least deny the town the ability to analyze my wagon.

As far as balance goes, I'd still say it's in favor of scum. Paranoid cop is about the worst role for town there is. It would have been an absolute disastor if we had gotten to day two with both the cops alive. Paranoid cop might claim. Chance the other cop counters. We lynch them both, we probably lose. Or we could have lynched the "guilty" (small chance the person actually is guilty) then lynch ZEEnon for lying. Miller is bad for town, but nothing disastrous. I might have claimed something besides miller though. Roleblocker is kind of good for town. JOAT is pretty good.

Can we get a list of all the night actions?

Pssh, only due to the fact I replaced in as a favour did I not ask for replacement.

And Paranoid Cop is a Townie, assuming an aware user. The odds of hitting Scum that often are basically none, so a Cop shouldn't claim until they have an Innocent. Naive Cops are far mroe harmful, since its plausible to think you 'confirmed' 3 people on the first 3 Nights.
