This shitstorm going back and forth isn't helpful. At all. Nor is, at this juncture, getting lynched to "prove" someone is bad. Because, well, it doesn't. All it does is waste a lynch.

That said, even though I think you're town, if this business continues I would happily watch your lynch after at least another scum is hit.

A doubleday puts far more power to win in the hands of the town. Not the PR's, not the scum manipulating NK's or that business. The town. Period.

tempting but sure as hell you're going to get called out for it. So, probably going to be hard to pull off at this point (especially day 1 versus 1.5 of a lynch cycle).

However, this lurker mechanic has

definitely

got the town a squakin'. So, what do you do? Keep it low. Let the maelstrom of fingerpointing and white-noise let you blend into the background. Sneak onto wagons where you can while letting the louder factions do their business. Keep it quiet because, hell, even if you're scummy the loud voices make enough squeaks that you can blend.

I have. I still hold to chances are very high she is town. There are TWO major caveats to this though:

1.) DGB could be a Godfather - this playstyle is ASKING for a cop investigation which, once gained, would really put her in a good scum position.
2.) We've got some trickery and this is a mountainous and the scum know it.

Which leads me to Tajo:

I would still support this lynch. I really do not like the not coming out with the RB and the "aha!" trap that is attempting to be sprung on Ort. Hell if you have a PR on lockdown that

is outed because they were scummy

why in the hell would scum jump a wagon? Let the town do it or let the inevitable WIFOM do it for you.

But, more importantly, the softclaim itself is junk. Acting like, of all roles, a tracked is going to be "town confirmed" (hint: the only way you could actually confirm yourself would be outing another town PR).

So, everything around the claim is bad. Scummily bad.

However, I will repeat this: This is not as bad as Xt OR Brian.

Lets not lynch for peace - lets lynch for scum. Revolutionary I know.

P.S. I'm really looking at the last lynch - something is truly awry at how Anti 'started' to get pushed up then all of a sudden the WORLD came crashing town on Malyss. Thats probably just :tinfoil: though.

Having some level of confirmation should normally be a reason to be very proactive in your scumhunting - because, on some level, the other players KNOW you aren't scum messing with them.

I credit rofl for the original call, but everything that has happened since then, I judge with mine own eyes to be confirmation. They are all scummy. If some of them are not scum, I would have expected them to build a case against the others. Instead, they ignore their scumteam accusations and try and build cases against people who look pretty town to me (and also try and destroy my credibility).

Again, follow my recommendation, and I'll shut up if something goes wrong.

Of all the players that are purported to be my buddies because I think they are town, Xtomx is the one I'm less confident about.

I hold against Xtomx his behavior surrounding the Malyss lynch, which, he Xtomx flips scum, is damning for antihero. And now, the lurking.

Antihero gave me a town vibe but the behavior of other players, when antihero was the alternative lynch to a townie lynch (Malyss), decreases my confidence of Antihero being town.

BMQ is unlikely scum for his strong defense of zwet, but if he lurks, he becomes suspicious and thus a good lynch.

I feel most strongly about ortolan being scum. However, I have to acknowledge that I have yet to find ortolan town in any game. It's just one of these things. I know it, I lower the bar for my scumdar, and every time he pushes the threshold. I am not a reliable judge of ortolan, but I will continue to challenge him as need be.

Uncertainty. His earlier contribution during the day fit my town meta for him. The tail end of the Malyss lynch was very odd.

It's not because I trust your opinion (generally I do, but not this game ). It's more I don't want to let you get away with throwing kaka around like it was going out of style, but vaguely at a number of people. If you're going to point fingers, do it for realz, not at the entire crowd. Especially, when the lynch was YOUR IDEA in the first place.

Also, it's possible that getting a more thorough analysis from you will prove you're town or prove you're scum. Which would be good. And I'm not asking for wall of text here. Just your general read of events.

Anyway, we may have to lynch xtoxm first, looking at the lurker count.

The trouble with softclaims is they only actually work if the town believed them but scum don't. Scum tend to overestimate how good a softclaim would be if they were town.

I really thought you and dgb would realize that I always do that as town.

It matters not whether you always do that as town or not. Because in the end, you did hard-claim. And you have not been counterclaimed.

This has been an oddly recent trend and I'm increasingly suspecting it's more to do with the contents of your own role pm than anything I've done.

One note: no lynching before everyone has posted. If both Antihero and BMQ end up passing the threshold, we'll have to use today's two lynches on them. Trying to rush so the whole day lasts less than 72h would hurt more than it would help.

I'm thinking that Antihero has either flaked or is pretending to (account seems like an alt), but I'll wait until it's official.
