I'm also growing increasingly wary of GhostWriter. He has contributed very lightly, and when he does post it's usually in the form of popping in to lend support to whatever is the biggest wagon at the time.

I'm not following you with this. Are you saying that the mod wouldn't jump on a player for not sticking to their post restriction, unless said player was scum? And I've never really considered a post restriction as a power, more like a... well, a restriction. It's nothing that really does much, and it can be given to players with actual powers just as easily as it can be given to those without powers.

When you've posted you've seemingly made good faith efforts to find scum (at least to my eye). As I noted with nico a large portion of her similarly few posts have had no content in them whatsoever and the quote I pulled from her looks mighty suspicious to me and you haven't done anything of the sort.

You're right, I should clarify.

In my eyes, the best defence for someone under fire in mafia is a good offence: making cases on other players and contributing in a meaningful way, instead of focusing on saving his own arse. That's always deserving of townie points (provided the cases are decent, which they do appear to be in this case). JABARRROOOOO

So basically, I switched vote because:
- DDD looks more town for having actually scumhunted
- his case on nico is persuasive

I'm going to pm them all again. Any of those that doesn't post by the time I have time to check this tomorrow will be modkilled. It will remain day until deadline. Deadline will most likely be extended when I get a replacement for nonny (is happening now).

edit: none of them picked up the last prod I sent. nicoliosgotpolio picked up the first one but didn't respond.

Ok, here's the deal. ZazieR pm'ed me back saying she has had bare bones internet access, but assured me that she will be back tomorrow. I heard absolutely nothing from nicoliosgotpolio or EsoMonty. ZazieR is going to stay alive, but nicoliosgotpolio and EsoMonty will not. I would normally try and find you all some replacements, but it just took over a week for one, so I don't even want to think about two more.

Speaking of which, Wall-E replaces nonny.

Oh man, what an excellent game. Why did it die?

Good show to Dej keeping his ass out of the fire despite Spolium's excellent attacks (not always logically sound ones, but *shrug*).

My first question is for Empking: Can you justify your vote on RBT following dej's claim? I missed your reasoning or you didn't give any.

My second question is for Spolium: How many games of mafia have you played?

My third question is for GhostWriter: Can you link me to any game you've played as scum in? I'll understand if you want to refuse.

It's unfortunate that modkills happened, but it's fortunate that one of them was scum. With the doc dead we're going to have to rely more heavily on analysis, so here's my first crack at it:

Spolium doesn't seem like the type to make illogical arguments, yet he did so during his case on Dej. I liked that Danny called Spolium out for tunneling, since I had that impression during my read (around page ten or so when I was wondering why one of Dej/Spolium wasn't dead yet). Dej's statement wasn't worth destroying the town's interest in the game as it wasn't a solid scumtell nor was it particularly damning. I really wish I hadn't read that whole conversation.

The problem with metaphors, Spolium, is that they are never accurate. Buttsecks hilarity aside, the entire metaphor needed to be thrown out, as the two situations were provably dissimilar enough to render your argument pointless (man I wish I'd been there to say that).

The next damning thing is how Spolium asked someone who they felt was most town on dej's wagon. What. The. Flipping. Banana.

Nobody even batted an eye! Even the person being asked was like, "Well, I don't see the need, but OK!"

I'm hoping that some of the other players will ask some specific questions of me to help flesh out this game a bit.
