Eh. Places in Jersey come in 4 varieties: sketchy ~coughNewarkcough~, suburby (read:boring and full of bad parenting, may or may not include headquarters to large pharmaceutical companies, has no public transportation to speak of despite rumors of mysterious buses that supposedly exist), farmlandy, and highway/smelly factory. Or some combination of these. Also lots of stripmalls.
You have never been to New Jersey. Newark is just like any other city, of course it is sketchy. We have public transportation, and if you can't find a bus, then you are blind. Oh, and please reframe from calling my parents bad parents.
Actually I grew up in the Jersey burbs in the north. Newark is indeed sketchy, and seriously, look at the crap going in the suburbs. I'm not calling your parents bad, I'm saying there's a serious issue with child supervision in the suburbs that sadly isn't being addressed. Parents aren't really paying attention to what their kids are doing, and, well, let's say that I actually knew a school teacher who invited his students to his house for underage drinking and gambling. And this was in a neighborhood that was "respectable." It's a trend that, from what I can see, is being ignored, especially in the suburbs there. Look at the news sometime. As for public transit, I over-exagerate a bit here, but it is barely existent. The commuter rail system is half-decent, but that's about it.
Me attending this is more and more likely, thanks to Nuwen.

So..we're looking at something like...8-18 people? That's a pretty big spread still, heh.
We've got 5 beds, a couch, and a few comfy chairs, so everyone will have to bring sleeping bags, and some people will end up on the floor if it's one of the higher numbers.

My chances of attending have jumped significantly as vehicular transport has recently become available through another scummer. Now I have to hope my summer plans fit around this, because I'd like to come to one of these.
NOTE: there is also a possibility of 3 other people fitting in the car if they're able to get to NYC. There's also a possibility of people who are able to get to Vermont being able to have a stopover with me before taking the train to New York(Sens, maybe that works for you?) I'd have to clear them with my parents first, obviously.

The vehicular transport that hascow was referring to is courtesy of me. And provided things work out I will be able to transport him, me and 3 other people.
Any questions regarding the transport, feel free to ask.

Wheee. We just got back from doing a test run at the Brigantine House. I threw a surprise 30th birthday party for the Yoster to celebrate our birthdays. I always forget how much work parties can be! At least I know now that the grill works, even if the flame cannot be adjusted on it.
