for the RVS self vote:dejkha wrote:Fair enough. I haven't seen a self vote in RVS in any of my games, so I wouldn't know. Maybe I'll do a meta on you just to make sure
I stole the idea from Nashira, who does it as policy.
I did it to amuse myself.
Also, I understand why andy voted the way he did. It seems he was on the fendce either way and the discussions towards voting millar convinced him to lean towards the vote.
I didnt think millar was suspicious enough for a vote, so I didnt vote him.
I dont think Andy is suspicious enough for a vote, so Im not voting him.
I will also not vote for Empking based on his playstyle, which has been consistent with other games.
If I find some suspicions elsewhere, Ill let you know.
Right now, I just wanted to quickly share some thoughts on a few players that stood out over the last couple of pages i had a chance to read.

Emp has to be lynched. When judging his own play, he's unreadable. Meaning, he could be scum and we wouldn't be able to tell because he's known for being scummy (and for his constant OMGUS and him being distracting and confusing to town). It would be irresponsible and dangerous to let him live the whole game. The earlier the better. He plays the same way every game, so I don't judge him specifically in each game unless, by some miracle, he does something different. His lynch isn't a matter of 'if', it's a matter of 'when'. I've said this in other games, so it's not specific to this one.AndyTony wrote: Why, based on your sig, do you know Emp is 100% worthy of being lynched (not necessarily scum, which is worse)? What is that based on in this game? How is losing another towny best for the town, and if he is not town, then why?
Putting aside Emp and his "unreadability", is there anyone else who seems scummy to you? (or more readable as town)?

with the exception of the nasty, i'd disagree.zwetschenwasser wrote:dej has been completely useless and unhelpful and nasty.
however, I was reading the death of Empking and im torn on this one.
Dej was pushing for Emp's death for which reason(s)?
- Emp wasnt being helpful to the town, so he had to go
- Emp did not defend himself when put at l-1, so he had to be put out of his misery
- His general Empking sucks Policy
- he is scum and knew Emp was not, so he wanted to push for his death when it would be a hidable lynch (Hidable lynch- pushing for a lynch of a townie, when you are scum, when there is enough blame to spread around so you can hide in plain sight)
- to get the game into the next day, for the sake of information
getting people to activly vote is not unhelpful, but it can be a scummy tactic if enough of the town are sheepish enough to follow with whatever bandwagon is going on at the time. This is especially true in the beginning stages of the game when not many people have strong leads as to who to suspect. This would put the scum at a better position later in the game, as they kill off townies without being blamed for it.
His agressiveness with the emp lynch is what bothers me a bit. I need to see if he was as aggrasive with other townie lynches.

Multi-post as I read the game back to front GO.
Looking at the lynches and gameplay
My top 3 suspects are in no particular order:
Cephir
Zachrulez
MadeofPhail
Cephir was still noticably absent from the emp lynch, and I think this was done purposely.
Zach seems to be flying onto the wagons of people he would know are townie, and so did phial. (see my above arguement about Dej, because this applies to them as well)
Dej, while nasty and offensive, seems to be agressivley town to me. (dammit) So I will have to look into my three stooges of suspicion stated above for now.

We lose a townie with a nk, regardless of a lynch or no lynch.
1/3 is better than 0/3 any day.
No lynch CANNOT help us at this point. All we have to go on is our votes to eliminate scum, and by not using it, we are letting the scum win.
You are also basing part of this on the idea that the scum would target a lurking player over an active one. This is incorrect. Scum would have more to gain from the more active players who are scum hunting rather than the lurking players who do not contribute in comparison.
I am voting Dej over Phail on this one because Dej is more experiences and should know better than phail would. I also have major suspicions of Phail as well, and this could be a plan devised by them to have the newer person suggest a no lynch so he could fall back on the shine of his newbieness.
I think the scum are dej and phail, so I will go for the leader of the two (more experienced)
Major FOS: Made of Phail
I fully expect and welome the arguements that my not being around somehow disqualifies what I am saying. I am declaring now that this would be a distractionary tactic by the two mentioned above in order to detract from my arguement.

Triple-Post-Fu
I also agree with Zach on the chances of a doc protect.
if we go to a no lynch, the doc has five choices to choose from. (1/5)
if we lynch a townie, it still gives the doc better odds at protecting a townie (1/4)
If we can catch a scum, it can extend our chances by an extra day with the following
night 1 scum 4 town
- scum kills town, we have 1 scum, 3 townies, we have one more chance to find the last scum.
-scum fails to kill, we get two chances to find the scum. At this point, we can also have our doc claim who he protected that night, narrowing our choices to either
- 1 of 2 if the scum does not fake claim a doc role
- 1 of 2 if the scum fake claims, as one will be real and the other will be fake. This also helps is the scum doesnt send in a kill, because if they claim a doc role after not sending a kill, the real doc will claim, once again bringing our choices down to 2. we will have 3 confirmed townies then, and even if we mislynch the doc, the two remaining townies (after one is NK) can lynch the last scum and we win.
Im sure there is more to add, but im out of time. So ill check in a bit tomorrow.

Why would you rather guess scum from 5 other people rather than 3 other people?
If the Doc is NK'ed or does not make a succesful protect, then the claim is still useless, and we lost an extra chance to lynch scum.
Im still shaking my head on this no lynch idea.
one last note to phail, the newbieness is more towards not have played the game as long as others. it is not a reflection on anyones intelligence, or lack thereof. No offense intended. [joke]If you had been playing longer, you would have realized that [/joke]
