I missed a day. Sorry, I read through the topic once. My initial read is that dejka is avoiding questions.
Nonny is offering up good questions.
God help the town if Spolium is Mafia.
This seems to be the post that everyone is wondering about. I think the initial question is harmless, asking about character claiming is harmless. The problem with the post is that he continues to offer an opinion that is not an opinion but rather an attempt to seem nuetral on the issue before other people had there say. And this is where I see that dej is acting scummy.Would there be any harm in saying which character you are? As far as I know, the effects of each aren't known yet, possibly except for obvious ones like Officer Barbrady or maybe Satan if they're in it. Not that I'm suggesting claiming your character is the right thing to do, but with Spolium repeatedly giving a Timmy reference, it doesn't seem like it's a big deal...
So, I do agree with Spolium and nonny in this respect.
I didn't know that, but that really makes sense.EmpKing wrote:Yeah, I can't see NC working in a game modded by someone who loves NCs.
In post 52: RBT says:
Is this where you are suggesting that you have a PR, why not just come out and say it? This post seems fishy.I'd be more inclined to believe that there were others in this game that had a post restriction, since that would make us seem to fit together better, mkay?
In post 53, Dej says:
He also quotes the very text that I believe is fishy. Funny.Did everyone purposely ignore that part of my post or is it just a coincidence that everyone missed it?
He then OMGUS. Not funny.
FOS: Dej
At this point, I am not really ready to vote for him, but he is doing some fishy things and while I do think he is being really scummy.
We also have a bunch of people lurking about, including myself prior to this post, it makes me wonder if the mafia is just letting us lynch ourselves. Which is the main reason I am not ready to vote for him.
I would like to hear from the following people on Dej.
RBT, Ghostwriter, Zazier and fuzzylightning.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

Sorry. I haven't posted. I see nothing in the thread to sway me in any direction.
I wonder why RBT felt the need to full claim when asking about a post restriction.
I wonder why fuzzylightening hasn't posted at all.
My post saying that was, you seemed in full attack mode. And you were doing a good job keeping at it. If you are mafia, I feel for us. I really do. It was an initial impression and I do like placing my initial impressions. And while nonny has piggy-backed, due in part to being a replacement, your initial detection hopes that this is not seeking false positives.
In fact, I have been wondering if the dej thing is a false positive. Besides his unwillness to expound in his own words as to why character claiming would be a bad idea.
I put it as too much information to be given to the mafia too early. We don't know what characters would be town vs mafia. And as someone pointed out charter would be the type to make it hard to tell just based on character claiming, which means that information is only really useful to the mafia.
vote: fuzzylightninguntil he is replaced or posts.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

I put what I wonder plainly. It doesn't equate to the likeliness of these events. They are merely observations that I had while reading the thread. Take as much or as little as you want from them.Spolium wrote:Timmaahhhh
It's a possibility, but I don't think it's a very likely one. He has gone beyond being wishy-washy over post 38 and gone into full blown question evasion mode, which I don't think townies have any good reason to do.EsoMonty wrote:In fact, I have been wondering if the dej thing is a false positive.
Can you explain why you've suddenly had this change in heart about dejkha? A fuller explanation for voting fuzzy beyond "he isn't posting" as well please, particularly considering that he's only posted on the site once since the 10th.
Timmy timmy. Blaargh
On fuzzy: If he posts or we get a replacement the vote will leave. But, I have been in three games on this site where inactive people have ruined the game. I had been waiting a response from fuzzy and others about the dej situation and felt compelled to vote for one of them. I specifically choose fuzzy because he had the least amount of posts.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

In one of my first games on this site, Gamma looked scummy and then he was being particularly difficult. When he flipped town, I wasn't as surprised. It seems to me that it is possible that dej is doing something similar.
You have to understand, I am trying to understand his strategy. He is set for a day one lynch at this point. I am trying to understand why Mafia would set himself up for it. It can't be just a bad play.
As for my vote on people not posting. Well, I don't think those that are posting at the moment are being scummy. I see townies hoping they found an early tell.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

At the moment, he seems most likely to be scum. I am not sure why he would be angry because people are wondering why he role claimed or maybe he is mad about the fact that he felt like he had to roleclaim when there was no need. Then he seems to be touchy on a subject of his own making. Seems like a massive slip to me.
To Caf19:
The wonder statements are earmarks for me and others, take them as much or as little as you want. But, they are opinions on how I am seeing the game. But, not ready to act upon or see no need to act upon.
The dej thing that makes me wonder is his further noncompliance with questions, however, I could be reading into his statements what I want to see. Which is scum flaking on defending himself. I am not sure if he is truly a scum or just an irate townie. I am not willing at this point to vote for him just so the mafia could hammer him in the event that he is town.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

This stands out to me. RBT did claim, she claimed Mr. Mackey. It wasn't whether or not she claimed that got her lynched. It was her response to being asked about the post restriction.caf19 wrote:Don't know why RBT didn't claim, it might have saved her.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

I don't think she should have full claimed right off the bat. But should have full claimed when she was at L-2 or so. A false full claim means you are catching yourself in a lie, which is suspicious in my book.Spolium wrote:
Don't you think that claiming her real role would've encouraged one or two votes to be dropped?EsoMonty wrote:This stands out to me. RBT did claim, she claimed Mr. Mackey.
Why did that stand out to you, exactly? I'm not sure what you're implying.
What stood out was that caf totally ignored that she did indeed full claim. So what if it was a false claim. A false claim is still a claim.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-

I am honestly not sure I am following your logic on that one. Could you explain more? And with this post my Town Read on Spoilum has gone bye bye. Mod confirming a PR is a scum power role not a town power role.Temple of Lore - Founding Player-
