@ Shadowknight: Yes all Town IRC roles are worded the same. In fact, all roles period are formatted the same way. It is very much common knowledge on IRC. Thus why the (Townie) was unnecessary. As far as your reasoning on Tubby/DGB possible scum, OK Well you know the meta on them far better than I do. I will agree though that resting his case on the sole basis of an unvote is scummy as hell, and for the exact reasons you stated. If your meta on DGB is correct though, then maybe it is distancing on their parts.

@ Tubby: WHA?! What evidence do you have that there are two scum factions? Last I saw we only had 1 kill both nights.

@Everyone thinking there is a cult: There isn't another cult guys. The leader died N0 and he failed to recruit anyone else. If he did two people would have died. Also we can just about rule out an SK. The bot uses the SK slot as both SK and cult. SO if you have one, odds are you won't have the other. The only exception is if it is a multiple SK setup in which case we wold have had a crap ton more kills than we have been having.

@Kscope: I'm still waiting on that reason for the vote on me.

@ Kev Post 486: I see your point why assuming Zwet protected does look scummy, but if he is indeed a mup, is it really that big of a scumtell on his part?

@Tar Post 490: Softclaim my ass, you basically gave away your role. Anyone who has played IRC knows exactly what you are now. Not only that if you are what you claim you are, that hardly mostly clears zwet, as that completely invalidates his N0 action. The only way we can confirm MUP is if either A) Dies, B) Causes an extra kill to happen, or C) Get a confirmed townie somehow clearing him.

@Xoxm Post 494: Umm ok, Seeing as how Kscope hasn't even given a reason, what is there to agree with?

Anyway, I'm not liking kevy ATM, and I do find Tubby's case on DGB weak to say the least. Could there be distancing on their part, maybe.

!Vote Tubby

FoS: DGB

FoS: Kevy

FoS: KScope
Until he actually gives a reason as to his vote.

Zwet, he wasn't asking what role he was. He was asking what roles can do what Tar not so softly claimed his role does.

I think the evidence of one mafia group with no other scum is pretty solid. About a week ago we had a conversation on IRC where I was told pretty definitely what Tanarin said above, that the Cult and SK use the same slot in the bot. We definitely *had* a cult in this setup, so that nixes that.

Additionally, with only one kill in each of two nights, it's hard to believe that we have more than one scumgroup. So we're looking at 3 or 4 scum in one group from my reckoning.
Tar wrote:I'm calling it now - there's a missing kill N1 and N2, there are two scum factions (either Mafia + SK or 2x Mafias), DGB is from one faction and tubby is from the other.

What do you mean "missing kill"? Like, it was blocked or protected or something? I find that hard to fathom. While there are a lot of power roles in this kind of setup, there are lots of them that can't actually prevent a kill. I think the odds on a kill being prevented with this many players on both nights is pretty slim.

What are these "larger threats"? That seems a very odd phrase. If indeed DGB and tubby are scum, what could be a larger threat than mafia?

Also, just to clarify, the two nights were n0 and n1. Since the first night takes place before the first day, it's called n0. Just to make sure so we're all on the same page.

Is it possible...

...that the kill that went through last night...

...was from a vig...

...leaving the scum with a suspicion that there is another scumgroup???

Tar is proven town as long as zwetschen is actually an MUP.

PAY ATTENTION. Tar isn't scum unless he's a godfather-type role (unless you're seriously suggesting that).

Lynch DGB please, for not reading the thread and playing like complete garbage.

I'm not saying Tar in particular. Just something to look for. Also, it's NOT impossible that Tar is a godfather, these things do happen.

And speaking of paying attention, it has just been brought up to yours, that you forgot that a cult leader died night 0.

For instance. The possibility of another scum faction has been brought up by tubby. Have you considered reading the game and paying attention?

Catch-up post(Note things as I see them)(Pages 1-10):

Post 30 - zwet: why are you pointing out that it's a joke post?
Post 31 - DGB: Not taking into account that it could be just personality in general? You seem real quick to name people town.
Post 32 - zwet: This looks like you're just trying to get on DGB's good side after her list post.
Post 34 - zwet: that's your entire defense? That's no defense.
Post 37 - UROE: semi-random? looks like a pretty good reason for a vote to me. No need to call it semi-random.
Post 39 - zwet: answer his question. Plus, "joke posts" are one of the best places to find scum.
Post 41 - DGB: Oh, what a surprise, DGB calling bussing this early. Was UROE bussing zwet with his early vote?
Post 43 - copter: really? you're listening to DGB on a bussing claim?
Post 55 - copter: actually, "getting out of the random stage" is exactly what we want to be doing. How is his attack crap? Looks pretty good to me.
Post 63 - Kevy: how is it trying to appear town as opposed to, you know, being town?
Post 74 - Kevy: This reads to me as "I think Tar is town but should be lynched because he is playing badly." Am I missing something? Plus, this game is very different from IRC. Optimal play is definitely not the same in both cases.
Post 75 - Kevy: First off, the "others did it, so I shouldn't be scummy/voted for it" fallacy. Then misrepping Tar's vote.
Post 81 - Tar: Maybe I should just replace out if there's going to be this much swearing at people. These are the games I hate.
Post 88 - Xtoxm: Why's this?
Post 89 - zwet: nothing to say on that whole exchange?
Post 92 - zwet: ok, nothing to say on that whole thing.
Post 96 - zwet: Wording of a question can be a scumtell. And what the heck are you talking about with the next two? vote hopping? maybe, but it's not really scummy on it's own. It depends on how it's done.
Post 102 - Phate: why? It's not a small IRC game, this game is huge, it won't work out so well
Post 104 - zwet: *headdesk* why are you trusting phate so readily
Post 121 - kscope: I have no idea what you are going for here.
Post 126 - zwet: ... where did he partially support it? He clearly stated that he thinks we don't need a massclaim.
Post 128 - UROE: How is listening to zwet convenient? rolebased, eh? and claiming that only a certain group will know what you're doing? This post doesn't feel right to me.
Post 142 - Vir:
FoS
. I don't particularly care if there's a jester. We lynch scummy people. Jester speculation is scummy and only serves to distract the town.
Post 148 - copter: What is with all the bussing accusations recently?
Post 161 - tubby: I2 that really all you have to say? An inane comment that adds nothing to the game?
Post 172 - kevy: "jokes" can be a great way to find scum.
Post 181 - copter: You don't have a backing for this. Of course he's going to want your reasoning.
Post 195 - armlx: This doesn't seem like armlx for some reason. You're too quiet, unless I've missed a boatload of posts you've made.
Post 200 - Phate: This isn't IRC mafia. This is an IRC setup, played on a forum. Huge difference. We can't use the same strategy.
Post 202 - zwet: ..............
Post 209 - Kevy: LOL @ "town should have a pretty good idea of what role a lynchee is if we're going to lynch them". What makes you say that, exactly? Because I have no idea how you could think that. Not everyone plays like Tar.
Post 219 - Tanarin: Looks like a strawman to me. I don't see him state anywhere that it's for opposing a massclaim.
Post 238 - tajo: Why
should
he claim?
Post 239 - phate: so what happend with suth?

my thoughts so far:
Tar-Kevy quabble: Tar is playing really aggressive and I think it's throwing Kevy off his game. Kevy's post 75 especially seemed pretty bad to me.
rofl seems town in that argument, although very, what's the best way of putting this? "rough".
I don't like that the IRC'ers are trying to turn this into an IRC game when it really isn't. IRC doesn't have this much talking, we can totally play a day game as well, the way it usually is in the forum, as opposed to the way it is in IRC.
zwet is really saying nothing, but saying it scummily. I wouldn't mind him being lynched.
That's it for right now, expect the rest later.
