Please Ecto , it is a universal mafia rule and its not like you were modkilled or anything.

Excuse me but there are no communique messages universally in mafia games. He stated above that you can quote communiques, but then removed the ones that I quoted. Those are conflicting actions and I'd like the contradiction explained before I bother again.
Does he think that leaving the mods name in is faking a communique from the mod?

communiques come from the mod by rule. How can you both quote it and not quote it?

Why did you remove those messages then? Both were quoted communiques and not from you except for the fact that ALL communiques come from the mod.

The problem was that you quoted the entire PM from me, not just the message.

brief, yes. i was short on time. still am a bit. my suspicions have already been stated in the thread.

roffman- i think he lied. gut feeling.

hohum- conditional, if roffman lied, then i believe it was to clear both of them. his adhom's have not helped him.

casey- will deserve mor explanation than i have time, but mostly based on gut feeling. if you remember, juls, i was at the center of the "do we have an sk" controversy in 730. i don't know why, but i am always suspicious of extra anti town roles in larger games. i will reread some and post more analysis.

however, as i have said, this is all mainly based on "gut" and therefore not valid for me to vote or lynch at this point. i still feel that the odd mechanics of this game make a "no lynch" a better decision for day one.

Well, since discussion seems to be dying out a bit, I think it's about time we came to a decision.

My final thoughts regarding our options for today:

-Lynch roffman: We may be able to assume that either roffman is lying about the PMs or scum have managed to evade our chain plan. I think either possibility is plausable, so lynching roffman may yield us a scumlynch, but we wouldn't know for sure. Maybe.

-Lynch Hohum/Ectomancer: I don't think we've gotten enough information about either of these two, or at least not enough to even know that one is scum, and certainly not enough to pick one over the other with any presupposed amount of accuracy. Not a good option.

Lynch Reecer6: Okay, I admit there isn't much of a case here. I also admit that I just dislike his playstyle and lack of helpfulness. I guess we can always hope that if he is scum, he manages to be equally incompetent for them.

-No lynch: Sit it out, and gather more information via Night Communiques and Actions. Let the scum make the first move and give us more to go on. I actually like this idea. It could really help, especially since none of the other lynches seem particularly certain or helpful.

The big problem is that few people are scumhunting or even showing who they suspect. I think that we have over-focused/discussed on the special mechanics of the game.

I don't like a no-lynch at the moment. I would much prefer a lynch of roffman or Reecer at this point.

I'm leaning towards Cybele's views on a no-lynch. I also have no qualms with voting Roffman. Whichever means moving the game along.

I have rising suspicions that Roffman's message may have been faked due to the new mod rule laid down, but that's gaming the mod. =/

I've quoted when I've received them, and I periodically delete all my mail information, while transferring important information to the notes section. It's a habit I have, I like things neat.

Out of curiosity, I searched Roffman 700-something posts for "PM," "PMs," "mail," "message," and "messages," but found no mention of this at all.

Surely this would have at least been mentioned in passing after a year of playing?

Exact times please. I PM'd dahill and the issue was that Ecto included the to, from, times, etc. He said it was fine to say what times you received messages, just don't include it within a quote that has the communique in it. Ask him if you seek further clarification.

My god. Thank you for prodding BSG & co. It would be great if we could get some decisions. Right now we have 4 non-voters, and some unproductive votes (for Casey and Ecto).
