I think zwet is doing a very poor job of being town, and I don't like URoE's question about him being drunk or stupid. That makes me think that they're scum buddies.

I do agree with URoE though about Kevy and Tar as I'm not going to get caught up in accusing them of being scum for their fight. I've seen town-on-town fights early in games before, and this seems like it could be one of them. It's not to say that I'm convinced they are town, but there are better people to lynch.

I'm still up for lynching Phate. I think he's done an excellent job of posting, yet saying nothing. He's the expert on IRC, yet he wanted a nolynch. He took the time to write a post explaining IRC mafia to us, but didn't take the time to do any scumhunting.

No. Explain. Because I'm getting town vibes from Tanarin. Remember that Tanarin replaced ShadowGirl; therefore, if ShadowGirl was town, then Tan is also town. I didn't see anything profoundly scummy from ShadowGirl's 1-2 posts.

Vir brings up a good point about Phate. Generally whenever I see Phate flaunt about his IRC experience, he's scum that doesn't want to be lynched.

I don't think I'm getting my Tarhalindur lynch any time soon.

Also, I looked at our player list out of curiosity and I wish to point out BSG's one and only post throughout the entire game.

2) URoE has a damn good point about townies not wanting to MC, especially if they have any sort of power. There is no need to go outing any docs/town rbs/cops at this stage in the game. Yes, scum would be just as hesitant, but that is why this is a null tell.
This. I guess it also applies to UROE, but in games with extremely complex set ups I find that scum are more likely to leave in simple answers as possible roles as it makes for more fake claims, while town are unlikely to as their roles are batshit insane.

if we're seeing the same thing then you should be voting uroe, not tanarin, cause uroe has already got a healthy bandwagon.

phate is very obviously not participating while trying to seem active. this is tingling my scumsenses too. and taking kevy's metaexperience into account, i think he's a pretty good scum bet.

dgb is
really
not her usual town self in this game. i can't exactly vocalize what it is thats off, but my whole being is screaming it.

however, uroe really needs to be the one that is lynched today

dropping tar from the axis of evil. i'm seeing that early blowup between us as a friendly fire incident. i think he's town.

scumlist, in order of suspicion: {uroe, tanarin}, {phate, dgb}, tajo
soi soi soi

wins: open 69 (townie), mini 592 (sk), mini 617 (mafia rb), open 102 (mafia lover), crackers! (doctor), mini 712 (doctor), mini 715 (townie), mini 770 (inventor), lynch all lurkers (townie), mafia 100 (mason), space mafia (neighborizer)

Quick notes from last few days (hate V/LA - genetics lab is time-consuming as all hell):

- Phate is so obviously scum it hurts (obviously not participating while trying to seem active = IIoA = supertell).
- UROE is also obvscum (especially thoughts on me vs. Kevy - seeing a townie fight is a weak scumtell - and recent play; defense of me could easily be attempt to pick up a pet townie). Not sure on the type, though - I got the impression he was dropping survivor/SK tells rather than Mafia tells.
- Weak scum read on zwet given high density of off topic posts.
- No good read on poptajo. Speaking of that, tajo should know that I only claim at L-2 barring particularly important rolebased info (which I don't have right now).
- tubby is likely bad town, given the wagon.
- DGB's play here looks like her play in Mind Screw II.
- KScope needs to post more, but Mafia 75 suggests caution in calling him scum for lurking.
- Yeah, where did BSG go, anyways?

!vote UnofficialRulerofEveryone

(Would also vote Phate in a heartbeat - they're about equal right now.)

Also, a side note for future massclaim discussion: I do NOT support massclaim at this time (1 day from LyLo yes, now no). (Experience from modded games says that relying on actions to catch scum is a dice roll at best.)

There are a couple players that I feel good about on the URoE wagon, so:

!vote UnofficialRulerofEveryone

Phate hasn't really posted enough for me to decide if he actually is scum or not, but I will definitely say that he is leaning scum. Suggesting NL is a waste of a day, like Tanarin said.
Phate, Post 200 wrote:I don't expect to get enough support for a nolynch to be able to pull it off, and if I don't I intend to more-or-less active-lurk
(cue: OMG LYNCHPHATE)
until you've decided on a townie to lynch.
"OMG LYNCHPHATE" = scared? Don't worry, we aren't going to lynch you, because after all:
Phate wrote:I'm the best IRC mafia player other than Xyl, who's modding, and Sutherlands, who's been banished to the depths of MTGS.
I also find it interesting that Phate voted me early on in the game during the random voting stage and never bothered to remove it. I think it might be because he's scared of me. But in any case, there isn't much of a wagon on Phate, and if he is as good as he says he is, he will be nightkill fodder, right? (I realize the WIFOM involved, but it still makes sense.) I'd rather not waste the town's lynch on him if he is a target for scum anyways. So, lynch URoE and let's get moving.

Massclaiming is bad in this game for the simple reason that IRC has time pressure in it (You had to copy your role in a few seconds), where here you can study the setup and then copy a role. Ergo, bad idea.

Is this a textbook example of a scum post? Short as it is, I believe it contains every scumtell I'm aware of.

Finally done with my re-read. I see you guys have put UROE at lynch -2. I'm not understanding why everyone has left tubby alone though. Every post I read of his pinged the scumdar and just when I was thinking, wow, tubby scummy mcscummerson and then disappears, he shows up again and posts another bad post. I don't know how he managed to slip lurking *and* actively lurking past a group like this, but I don't like it.

I support a whole bunch of people voting tubby.

But first, we have to take care of that UROE business.

I'm waiting on UROE to claim. The longer it takes, the higher the probability that the claim is fake.

I was talking about UROE actually. And I'm somewhat interested to see what he claims as I've never played IRC before and from what people here have been saying, the roles get.... odd.
