What effects do avatars have on you?

I'm sort of in the same boat as Llama as far as judging someone's experience goes; if I see someone with an avatar that strikes me as childish I'm more likely to read them as slightly more inexperienced than I might otherwise. I tend not to go any further into it than that, though.

Llama's looks shifty on the surface, but something about it also suggests confidence in his ability. The darkness of the colours, maybe?

I just tend to associate the people with the avatar. Goat is a goat, shaft.ed is black, Cyberbob is an under-evolved simian.

Meh, it doesn't really bother me either way. My avatar-based impressions are rarely strong enough to influence my play.
