in my experience, when more than one group kills one target, the targets death scene contains to different methods of killing "stabbed 12 times, then riddled with bullets while he choked on his blood"

at any rate, its interesting that only one person died night one, but 2 last night.

re: a doc saving claus, perhaps the doc got roleblocked. but someone wouldve had to be sure they knew who the doctor was.
also, there might not be a doc
or, the doc missed the night phase and his/her night action. in which case, BAD DOCTOR!

The mod makes one mistake that kills a cop who shouldn't have died, and another mistake that doesn't kill a cop who should have died, and we end up with no cops

Right. Here's the situation. According to the way that night actions were submitted last night, Claus should not have died. The militant and Shanba kills were kosher.

In order to mitigate the detriment to town caused by the mistake, Claus will be turned into a Tree Stump for the remainder of the current day. This means that, if he so wishes, he will be permitted to post in thread and supply his opinions and investigation results if he has received one, but he will be unable to vote, and will not count as a living player for the purposes of the number to lynch. At the end of the day, he will revert to being a dead player, and all the usual rules apply (except that he will not be permitted a bah post for obvious reasons).

I say this from a position of not knowing who Claus chose to investigate, or if any other roles which might exist have interfered with his investigation.

I hope everyone is OK with this compromise- to my mind, it mitigates the impact of the mistake on the town, without unfairly penalising antitown elements by leaving him alive and confirmed.

Wow, well, I think that is a fair compromise - before Claus' time expires he should make an exit post detailing his previous investigation and tell us what he knows. In the mean time, unlike yesterday we shouldn't rely on his investigation to determine our course of action. A lot has happened since D1 so I think people need to make their new suspects clear.

I'm going to have a reread now and provide what I think.
