I'm fine with popcorn claiming, don't particularly care about the order, though I daresay the best choice would be for Rishi to claim his choice and for that confirmed (assuming Rishi's town) person to pick the order. I was more interested in the blocking aspect of my role as opposed to the protect since I figured no one is making a pro-town kill it doesn't matter if I "protect" someone anti-town. Plum, chaz and montana don't have any night role that they would have to lie about so if one of them is a scum it makes sense that they will be the one doing the killing. Thus I rolled some dice and decided montana would be blocked.

Now there wasn't a scum kill so it's possible that montana is scum, however rishi might have saved someone or the kill might have gone to malyss and malyss might have saved himself or master ruck might have commuted...

I protected Danchaofan last night, actually. I felt the Jailkeeper was a fairly powerful role to keep around. As Gorrad pointed out, this clears Danchaofan, unless there's something in the setup that I'm not considering.

I'm really debating how to use my ability in the future. If we lynch a non-scum today, I will have 9 possible targets - with three scum in the mix. So I usually think cop (or psuedo-cop in my case) is a pretty good trade for a scum. If I advertise who I'm going to protect, then you'll know if that person is scum if I'm dead but it's easier for the scum to find a workaround.

<shrug> We're nowhere near the end of the day. I guess this can come up later.

If they have a roleblocker they can block you, if you target town they can kill you, etc.. There's nothing in this.

There's no such thing as a mafia weak doc as a role (is there even a precedent for this situation?), so I thought confirmation wouldn't hurt.

there's smalltown precedent, which says that the role works the same regardless of the alignment of the player. Why would it change? Wouldn't changing it break the game?

The role functions exactly as stated, regardless of alignment. If the Weak Doctor protects scum, then the Weak Doctor will die.

I used my night action to target Megatheory on the theory that until I have reasonable suspicions against potential scum or the serial killer, I might as well target the one person that I know could potentially kill me.

Honestly, if I was scum in that position, I might well have taken the gamble that Rishi would protect me and RB to get a confirmed. The Jailkeeper role is one of the most powerful ones in the game, so it's a pretty good chance.

I didn't commute. I didn't see much point as, really, I'd only be protecting myself from being killed so I took the chance and if I did die, then I'd just be really unlucky.
