"And this... well, this is the HamJet. Quite a piece, isn't it? Now give it up. Give it up for the hammer...
Hammer...
Hammer..."

"CAPTAIN HAMMER! Are you there?"

Captain Hammer woke with a start. Who was knocking on his secret hideout entrance? What time was it? Why did his dreams always end right as they got to the
good
parts?

"Mrphrrr.... what is it?"

"Captain Hammer, something Horrible has happened."

"Doc's at it again, eh? Nevermind, I'll kick his ass like it's my job. Oh, wait. It is my job!"

"No... One of your most faithful fans has been brutally murdered," said the goofy little messager boy. "And I don't think it was the work of a superhero or an evil plan gone Horribly awry. Everyone is meeting at the new homeless shelter now. You have to be there!"

Billy arrived at the homeless shelter. He was late on his plans to take over the world, but Penny had asked him to come. He hoped the bouquet of flowers wasn't too much.

When Billy walked into the auditorium, he nearly jumped out of his shoes. Bad Horse? What on earth was the Thoroughbred of Sin doing here?

"Relax," spoke the Mayor. "The body of one of Captain Hammer's fan girls was found."

"Okay..."

"It seems there was a plot more sinister than anything even Bad Horse could have devised. Somebody is trying to take over LA, and they have got to be stopped."

But why would you want
me
to--?"

"What's up, Doc?"

Billy knew that voice. And apparently Captain Hammer knew him. "Uh. Hi... big fan, y'know..."

"Right. Don't make me kick your ass."

"Anyway, here's the body... it looks like she was in league with two others... two among the eleven of us here right now."

"So what are we gonna do?"

"Pick one of us to kill, naturally."

, for being Vanilla and for being scum in that last game. Yay RVS antics!

On another note, what degree of results/target claiming about the night is usually called for in a Smalltown game? I've never been in one before and wonder what might be considered baseline optimal-strategy protocol.

Not sure why everyone ignored this, but in the one Smalltown game I've played in, we all claimed night choices after each night. I think it's worth discussing. I prefer the popcorn method of claiming night choices.

I do find it interesting that, in a game where the random phase is completely unnecessary, people choose to do it anyway.

c'mon rishi, rv is fun, why spoil the fun?

should we rv who goes first for popcorning smalltown? and I think it's a good idea, it forces scum to make, or atleast lie, about seemingly pro-town choices so that they don't get caught up in the following days role discussions.

I'm confused as to why there was a rvs in the first place. We all know everyone's role, so shouldn't there be some kind of discussion straight away about what happened? I mean, there should have been at least 2 kills last night with the scum kill and the SK, and obviously the SK killed Jebus as scum would never kill scum. For that matter why did the scum kill fail? Did a doctor protect someone or did the doc roleblock the kill?

Alright this is the first small town game that I have played in as well, but I am rather confused about this random voting stage because, as has been mentioned it is completely and totally unnecessary, but I am also wondering who did what to who.
2-1 as Town (including the 39 minute final day)

I went with a random vote because that's what I've always done to kick off a mafia game. I've never played a smalltown game before, and since I didn't know what the standard procedure was, I just did what was natural.

I did not target anyone last night. I do not believe in vig killing on the first night. (I have toyed with a night zero kill list in the past, but this isn't exactly relevant because no one who would be on that list is in this game anyway.)

Fine. Should a popcorn-style claim of night actions start with Mega choosing who goes next, as he's already claimed, or would anyone prefer something else? I'm fine with Mega popcorning.

Unvote
. Never been in a Smalltown or Night Start game before, Mega made a random vote, I concluded that a random vote might be a legit way for me to start off my posting for the Day. In any case.
