Yeah I don't see much reason to shoot there either, which is exactly why the jk almost certainly was stopping him from making the kill rather than being it.
Also the whole "working in lockstep with Goofball to defend each other once they got tied together" thing.
Noticed this and i'm not sure where the idea that I'm working in lockstep with DGB is coming from. I mentioned in my
2301 that they were a main suspect for me based on dayplay reads (note how I said DGB+ 1 of Grov/Nick, DGB was the read I felt strongest about atm as well as how I pressed for their claim during massclaim). After the massclaim finished, I spent my work shift the next day considering the mech and found it in contrast with what my dayplay read was.
Now the thing is, and you can check my recent town games to confirm this (mini 2316, Mini 2327, Mini 2333), I tend to have poor accuracy on my initial reads (not to say I don't stand by them, I try to base my reads on things that seem sound to me and I wholeheartedly believe that doubting your ability to make proper reads doesn't really lead to anywhere good anyways). So when i'm put into a position where my mech reads conflict with my dayplay reads, I do think I have a higher chance of success following the former than the latter. More so given that I do feel more confidence in the mech read than the dayplay read in this case.
