Beginning of Day 5

Another day, another set of bodies. You venture outside in order to see who got killed last night.

You quickly round up the bodies: hp [leaves] and Empking. After searching their house, it would seem that Empking was just an ordinary citizen, trying to stop the Mafias in your midst. Hp [leaves], however, was... something more.

Considering how few of you there are left... better start getting right answers soon. Before there's no time left.

Empking, Townie, killed N4
hp [leaves], Neighbor, killed N4

It is now Day 5

Armlx, you were actually surprised? We're talking about Tar here.
Just look at the VC and you see that dead players are allowed to vote :D.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. None whatsover. Whatever gave you the idea that I might have forgotten to remove a modkilled player's name from the not voting list? (Besides my notorious issues with vote counts, that is...) - Tar

But I'm also surprised about the NK's. Why those instead of other players?

Why did BM ask for replacement? Was the reason ever revealed?

Right now, I want to go back and reread. The lack of activity in the game the past 3 days, though, means we have basically no info from ribwich, ZazieR, SocioPath, and BM during that time. Today should involve much more discussion.

I think we have to assume there are only 2 members of each mafia at this point, with 3 dead townies.

I endorse a mass claim.

armlx, I think the 2 of each mafia is probably correct at this point. So, that leaves 1 of each mafia, with 7 alive. There's still 2 NKs/night, if we don't lynch scum today.
Assuming we mislynch today, that leaves 4 townies, 2 mafia, but the mafia are different teams. This is not LyLo, so what are the benefits of massclaiming today versus tomorrow? Is it worth the risk?

Personally, I think it is worth the risk because, given so little information about most of the people alive right now, I think the odds of a mislynch or a no-lynch (like what happened to oEJo day 1) are probably high. Massclaim should hopefully give us a lot more info about people. Cop investigations, for example, should give us plenty of new info (assuming a cop exists).

3-2.

The lack of info was the main issue I had.

9 alive is the cut off for mass claims in normal large games, 7 alive in minis. The point is to have enough info from claims to get somewhere from them.

I say the 2 confirmeds (CC and myself) decide any mass claim order, with open discussion of said order before we set it precisely, at which point is proceeds as is.

OK. Since either the neighbours have to be scum, which i think unlikely, or everyone else is, I'm actually OK with massclaim, in any order.

However the softclaim in 54 sucks ass.

Mixed feelings on STD's 70.

CarnCarn wrote: Yeah, this game seems large enough to have 2 scum teams.
WHAT? The flavour pretty much says outright there are two.

120 is BS.

BM FEELS town.

173 looks like town armlx.

188 is trying to be too clever armlx. Though there is a less specific point... the number of scum neighbours is likely to be the same either side.

Lots of content not directly relating to lynching scum from STD. This feels like scum-STD to me. He's not nearly as proactive as i remember the town version of him being.

262 is the correct lynch methodology.

323 is pretty dumb, but a towntell. Sadly.

SP looks scummy. Didn't feel like a ploy to me. Oh, hindsight.

I see London, I see Nablus... I see something that looks a lot like a bus.

Zazie... I need to go look at X. Does she?
SocioPath wrote:I find in interesting that as soon as I utter a name, that others jump upon him.
What I find interesting is how you say you think someone's scum, don't vote them, and then use this kind of passive-aggressive defence of him when other people vote him.
SocioPath wrote:

For Santos MKII, rereplacing into the game, call it a hunch.

Vote: Santos MK II
Vote: Rope

But for the sake of today for lynching obvious scum:

Vote: oEJo
Vote: Gun

Hi. I'm big, red, and have a conductor. (Seriously, how is this not incredibly obvious?)
armlx wrote:Anyone on the Detspeed wagon based on his single post is weak sauce.
Let's look out for nervous rival scum in response to this...

919 = v.good catch by Zazie, suggests town. At very least, not-partner.

954= Santos II looks a good bet to be scum with SP/STD.

Rapid turnaround to 971 confirms this.
ZTR wrote:So I disappear for a few weeks and I'm auto-scum? You guys are lacking logic. Although, I don't really see a way I can defend myself since the Townie role is in the first post. If the choice is really between Santos and I, you should take the guy whose been band wagoning on every suspicion since he got himself off of the hook.
Townie softclaim breeds anger.

ok I'm here, last game before temp leave better be quick with this few left. Reading recent stuff there is talk of mass claim which might be a good idea at this stage in the game. I got 3 general questions before I consider reading all 40 pages and if mass claim really is best.

1. Who has claimed so far?

2. Who is confirmed and why?

3. Can I get any real quick summaries from anybody?

Real quick-

either the neighbours are scum, or 4 of the remaining five are, assuming 3/3 in terms of each scumgroup.

The neighbours are quasi-confirmed, since it's pretty clear there's not one scum among them for reasons of symmetry- there remains the outside chance of both, but i'm not buying it.

ZazieR is your scumbuddy.

That last part sounds like a jump since you said BM felt town.

Either both neighbors are scum in the same group.
Both Scum in different groups which would be wierd.
or Both town.

I'll read through and see which of these is most accurate shortly. Probably the last one off hand.

Scumgroups of two in a sixteen-player seem unlikely, though not quite impossible given scum perks here- and two different players strike me as strongly tied to STD/Det.

There are scum perks, as well as the fact so far we have only flipped one actual power role.
