This looks like something just meant to have us waste a lynch and then have a cult win. This is a terrible idea.

I still like one of my votes on SC, but:

Well then, DGB was scum after all. KNEW we should have whacked her.

wow. I hope you didn't just make me a target.

How do you figure this? Inquisitor doesn't say much, just that he's anti town neutral. Could be an SK
Kinetic wrote: I'm curious because if Pesco didn't kill DGB, how can we be sure it was the Mod-SK? The Mod-SK was already dead...

Unless the Mod-SK can come back to life? That makes no sense... Mod... Reviver... ... ...

I think he just wants to get rid of "I'm gonna claim my ability so there!" behavior without calling it jackassery.

Depends. What do you think your chances of survival are?

Pretty sure it didn't say SK by Tar either. It was just in his PM :S

Oops. I thought Tarhalindur said "SK". I still think Vi was probably cult leader, based on the flavor of his death ("all he wanted was for people to learn the Khala's light"), but I'm less sure.

If cult in this game looks like the cult of pacifism in one of Tar's previous games, then cultists got an alternative second win condition, and can win by fulfilling either. Anyone think they know what the second win condition is? :)

The town win condition?

I wasn't being all that serious when I suggested lynching Rule 0, otherwise I would have voted. But since we got some interested players, anyone want to share their thoughts?

Cult recruits have to come from some faction don't they. I'm sure I remember seeing somewhere in this game that a no lynch would also be bad. I doubt it's related to a cult though.

Basically, if there is a cult like Tar's previous one, there is now some action X such that:
* Doing X results in an immediate loss for the town, and win for the cult.
* There are an ever-increasing number of players who know what X is, and win if it happens.

For balance reasons, X would have to be something that the town would be fairly unlikely to do spontaneously, but could be persuaded into.

Until we know for sure what the cult win condition is, we should be
very
careful.

correct. It's not the guessing how a lynch will turn out, it's that you were so anti-lynch and then came out with the "I told you so", which is not usually used for any reason other than trying to get people to listen to you more, which scum quite like. I don't care if you are against a lynch, but bragging after it when we lynch someone who, by the way, wasn't a member of the town.
The "I told you so" of Kairyuu isn't as bad as the "I told you so" of DGB. DGB was mafia, and bragging about calling it makes you seem like one of her buddies to me.

What? Wait? How can you possibly think that is me being sure the cult is near a win? That's me stating my thoughts on that statement. It doesn't make any sense at all to lynch a rule. Seems like it's just meant to have the town waste a lynch and lead to a cult win or something along those lines.

Also, I'm feeling Pesco as something like suicidal cult leader. It would make sense with the targeting, but delay of the actual action resolving until she dies.

We have a dead scum to analyze. Unfortunately it's DGB.

Day 1: DGB is all in on the Empking lynch. No info there.

Day 2: DGB goes after BlakAdder and stay there. Minor swipe at Context. Seems to know something about malthusis's daykill.

DrippingGoofball wrote:mathusis must be allowed to speak out before we hammer Tar.

malthusis should put his boots on and not waste time.
Day 3: DGB accuses populartajo of being cultist/cult recruiter. Possibly suspects that populartajo tried to recruit her and failed? Seems happy to be investigated but scared to be killed. Believes Kairyuu. Sucks up to me. Switches to not believing Kairyuu. Throws suspicion on StrangerCoug for defending Kairyuu.

As a matter of fact, no... they gave me Kool-Aid.

I'm probably wrong, but I can't help but think that Kairyuu is another Jester, and StrangerCoug is going to lose and die as as his Jester twin.

It's the most likely explanation for yesterday's events that my feeble mind can muster.

I do not like the idea of lynching a rule. If you want to get the rest of the rules, from past MS games, killing the Chairman Mao role is usually the answer to that problem. Lynching a rule seems to be more of a cult win condition than something the town should actually be doing. I don't like it.

Hi. People voting me. Did you miss the part where I'm ESSENTIALLY CONFIRMED? I can't be two alignments unless I was cult recruited. And if I was cult recruited, shouldn't you be looking for the leader? I doubt I'm running the Cult of Tweedle Dum here. Please recall past events when you make future votes.
